From the first person I spoke to on the phone in the clinic to the ER staff to the ICU staff to the janitors to the diabetes support staff and everyone in between I couldn't of asked for a better experience. The nurses my son had for 3 day were very knowledgeable, helpful, kind, very thorough, fast and funny! The facility is clean and beautiful. In a very scary time for my son and my family I'm so grateful we came here. We were here 9-25 to 9-28. I would appreciate if the nurses on staff can be shown this post, especially Carol 🙂

Great clinic and hospital! I've had both my children here and even though we live 25 miles away (and closer to another hospital) we do all our doctoring at Lakewood. We are always treated with kindness and respect.

I saw Dr. Riordan. She was very knowledgeable, empathetic, and awesome! Jenny on her staff was great as well. Really appreciate the time they took to listen and help me out.

Lakewood was wonderful!! They really stepped up to the plate and helped my family during a family members time of need. I can't thank them enough!! I wish I could remember all the names of the staff I encountered but unfortunately I can't. But for sure Dr. Thiel and the nursing staff in the ER, social workers, security staff, and pt, ot, and speech.

I have never written a bad review of a doctor before, but I had some interactions with Dr. Krogstad a couple of years ago that still bother me to this day. He lied to me and then called me on the phone and ridiculed me. I tried to complain but was crying, and was therefore treated like I was too disturbed to be taken seriously. I hadn't had any other problems previously with Staples, so I figured it was just one poor experience and I could still see other doctors. Later I went to the ER with a gallbladder attack, I was told I had gas. I knew the pain was not gas, but I was not believed. I saw another doctor after the next attack, and I was told to take Ibuprofen, even though I said that Ibuprofen did not touch the pain I was experiencing. I was made to feel like a drug seeker, and sent away with the promise of an ultra sound if I had another night of pain. After yet another excruciating attack, I saw a third doctor, and begged for an ultra sound, which he denied. I was told if the pain came again that I would get an ultra sound. Finally I got an ultrasound and it revealed large gallstones that required surgery. I know I'll just get a canned "We're sorry about your experience..." but maybe it will help someone else feel not so alone. I have never felt so degraded and powerless.
