Was referred to the orthopedic department from my physician. Was called an hour and a half before my scheduled appointment to be told that the attending physician couldn’t see me and I had to reschedule. So I did so, then about 2 hours later I received another call that the rescheduled appointment had to be rescheduled and would possibly be able to be seen in a few more weeks. At which point I said I would have my physician refer me to a different orthopedic doctor. It shouldn’t be this difficult to get and KEEP and anappointment!!!! Will not return to Mahaska Health for ANY reason!!!

How about instead of telling a patient to show up at x time, we just add an hour or 2 to make it more realistic. Maybe not schedule so many surgeries for one particular time frame. Beyond stupid!

pirspektiv .

Apparently providing personal information over the phone to someone claiming to be my husband is standard procedure these days??? You asked for no proof of who that person was or their relation to me. I am not married. I have no husband and someone from your hospital made a phone call and gave out my information without even knowing who you were speaking to!

I thought I had a great Dr. BUT, after finding out over a year ago that my white blood count was very high, and asking why ankles were swollen and I was bruising so easily, it was brushed off even though they knew I had Hep C in 2004 (no longer have). No one told me to have my liver checked. After moving to SC, I find out I have liver cancer as well as Hep C induced sclerossis. This could have been addressed years ago and wasn't. Life and death, not growing a wart or something. Push your Drs. to look deeper and not herd you in and out like a team of animals! Very disappointed and angry over the entire thing. My cancer could have been fought 2 years ago and had better chances than I do now.

I have been fighting to get my asthma figured out for almost a year now. They tell you that you have to come in to "reassess your asthma" just to tell you when you get there that they arent going to change anything. It is a waste of time, gas, and money. I still have asthma and allergy issues to this day, and still fight for my life every day, because they wont change anything.
