Had an unusual situation that landed me in the ER. I had very little wait time in the lobby. Dr Mathew Radel and his nurse were very compassionate and attentive. I'm very pleased and thankful. Pharmacy filled my RX quickly and gave clear after care instructions. A+ all across the board.

Was recently taken here with a cardiac emergency. Arrived by ambulance so no wait for service. Doctors were quick and competent. Nurses were amazing in the ward but WAY over worked. I don't know if they just had a higher level of patients then expected, but i often had to wait for up to 1/2 an hour after hitting the call button before someone checked on me. I was also never told what was wrong with me, or what caused it. I'll probably learn that from the cardiologist.

I went to Good Sam multiple times after having a life threatening emergency for the second time in my life. I had to have emergency surgery the first time this happened, and didn't want to have to get to that point again. I insisted I knew what was wrong with me but no one would listen and I kept being sent home. I finally followed up with my doctor who confirmed my fear and had to treat me through the hospital. I ended up having to go back to the emergency room for treatment as my doctor was not available on Saturdays. Rude, uncaring staff. No one kept me updated. I felt so alone. One of the staff ended up telling me "you're just bad luck huh". Gee thanks. Now come to find out Good Sam has all kinds of complaints, legal issues etc. Wonder why. I would also like to mention that one of the times I waited in the ER for 5 hours, interally bleeding due to this problem, they took back people with coughs, sore throats, even someone who had been in a fist fight, before they took me back; apparently you have to be making a scene and have external injuries for them to care. Nurses constantly on their cell phones

My husband was having signs of chest pain and his chest felt like it was caving in. He wasn't able to breathe well for the week prior. We were treated horrible to begin with. The nurse in ECG room was not sympathetic at the least by the name of Heather. She refused to listen to my husband's concerns, did not care of the pain he was in and did not care of what it could have been even if the results were normal. My husband told her he felt dizzy like he was going to pass out and she said to him it's fine. My husband said it isn't fine! And she snapped back at him telling him it's fine he's on a bed not to worry about it. Not a very proactive nurse. She had no clue I am a nurse as well. And no clue I would be reporting her either. The x-ray tech was rude and inconsiderate as well. I went to give my husband a hug and she snapped at me with a smile and said "oh, you aren't coming with us, so go sit! !" In my head i was thinking why is this so funny to the nurses, my husband is in pain. I didn't get to give him a hug but sat and waited. It took an hour to get any response waiting for him. The only nurse that was able to help was in room 19 finally, Molly. Was the nicest nurse there and treated others with respect and tried to make everyone comfortable. This hospital is a black coffin so i recommend trying any other so you aren't carried out in a black bag. Most disrespectful group of children I've ever met!
