North Oaks Medical Center

The people who work here are so desensitized, you'd swear you're dealing with robots. While my mother was having a heart attack, they didn't seem to care. Didn't treat it as an emergency at all!! I literally had to put my mom into a wheelchair myself because these people took their sweet time to help and get there. I really wish we had another hospital close by, other wise I'd never ever go here. I've lost all respect for this hospital due to that experience. Don't recommend going here unless you absolutely have to

I really don't want to give these people any stars , I checked in at 8:30 this morning and left by 9:15 . From the time I walked to the back with nurse and started telling her how i felt i started to feel low from the way i was talked to. My chest was hurting and my heart felt like it was racing , the nurse Michelle rolled her eyes and said " well your heart is not racing now!!!" Like I am a liar about the way I feel ? The doctor was also very rude and didn't really seem to care . Walked out of the room and said everything is fine we will get you out of here .I wouldn't recommend anyone go there. They may probably misdiagnose you due to how they think you feel

I wish to thank the doctor, nurses, and other medical professionals and staff who each and collectively made my experience at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, LA as pleasant as it could be. I was in the ER on June 22nd, 2019 with high fever, fatigue, sweating and shaking chills. Dr. Willis Fred was very informative, kind and compassionate. It made me feel confident in the types of tests and treatments that he suggested. Trips to emergency room are never a pleasant event, however this group of professionals made this moment of medical urgency a lot more bearable. Each person I interacted with was confident and caring, and I felt I was in very competent hands throughout the several hours that I’ve spent there. I deeply appreciate the fact that my community and I have access to such a high-quality organization of professionals and facilities.

I was verbally and physically harassed by a security guard by North Oaks Hospital I think his name is forest. He was rude and his comments toward me were - completely uncalled for.

I love having all my information in one system. This gives the doctors access to the whole problem and all my history so they can better diagnose the problem at hand. I've had surgery at the hospital and they were outstanding. Fastidiously clean, very helpful and efficient. During the last three years I have seen four different doctors for different problems: All staff from the front desk to the doctors were excellent and met all of my needs.
