feedback about Northwest Florida Community Hospital
I have been here several times for my children and I. The staff is kind and competent. It is a little dated but it's what you expect at a small town hospital. The care is excellent and makes up for the lack of the newest technology.
To be honest, I am an employee, but I have also been a patient at this facility. The staff is knowledgeable and great. And the length of time to receive care is nothing like waiting at a larger hospital in the area. I'm not doing 5 stars so that I don't seem partial because it is my job. But I can truly say that while we have received negative posts, I don't think that they are a fair representation for the lives we have saved and made a difference in, and the for the patients and families we have impacted in a positive way with good outcomes
Would give zero stars if I could, er dept is very rude and unprofessional. Dr is arrogant and presumptuous without even examining the patient! He is reckless and extremely rude to patients! And prescribing medications not even closely related to patients complaints or symptoms...he's a medical malpractice suit waiting to happen and I hope the family of patient I saw files one...pathetic patient care and treatment!
My daughter was injured on a horse today with an injury to her head. We were at the ER for an hour and she didn't even get triaged. Also, it was dirty; there was a dead roach in the ER. I do not recommend this hospital .
I'm not sure about the other areas of this facility, but I am certain that the ER department is outdated and under staffed. I arrived at 8:30 am for fever, nausea, and left quadrant pain. I was triaged immediately but didn't see a Dr. Until an hour and half after triage. It's now 11:19 and I have not been updated on my test results, nor have I been check on by a nurse. I came in with pain that has not subsided and have not been offer so much as a Tylenol or anything for my nausea. Please spare yourself the long drawn out process that is NFCH.
