Opelousas General Health System

I worked in the kitchen. I can tell you, food is not checked for proper temps, nobody washes their hands. No proper food handling is even practiced at this place. No proper equipment or personal protective gear is used. Ceiling tiles are falling in from water leaking from floors above. Sewage leaks back up through the pipes. I wouldn't let anybody I know go there.

Best experience ever. My husband had surgery there and we were treated very very good from the time we walked in till the time we left

Hope, comfort, love, care, compassion and knowledge. All of these things are being given to my loved one at Opelousas General Health System. I walked into the ER exhausted and scared. Scared that there was no hope for her or treatment I knew she needed and desperately sought elsewhere. You guys were the last option when you should have been the first. You are the first to give us the hope we need and the care she needs. We can’t thank you all enough for the amazing care each staff member has given her. To the doctor that has the utmost faith in her staff and answered a call late at night to help me out - Dr Leah Olivier- I will always be grateful and appreciative of you.

I had the best experience at Opelousas general the OB nurses was the best always checked on my newborn and me made sure everything was great.They was on time they made me feel at home thanks for everything

I have been hospitalized in this facility several times over the years. I have 2 homes. One in northeast La. & one in Eunice La. i can go to any hospital i want for treatment. However... Opolousas General Hospital is unmatched in excellence. In professionalism, bedside manner, cleanliness,.... whatever category you choose. Opolousas General is unsurpassed.
