feedback about Overlook Medical Center
A family member was in the hospital for a few days and the quality of care is very high. Nurses and doctors are friendly and attentive. They have a massage/ relaxation room for family members. What is most important is that ANYONE in the hospital who thinks you may need help, talks to you to find out what help you may need. At first it was creepy but then we realized that that is their barometer of care. Meet you where you are and help you from there. Very impressive.
I want to thank the staff at Overlook Hospital for their professionalism and friendly atmosphere. I had never visited Overlook hospital before but I must say my first visit was in July 2018 to see a doctor at Summit Medical Group and immediately upon arriving there I was greeted in the entrance of the MAC II entrance by an older gentleman who was I believe of the Security team, with such a smile and pleasant greeting. I hoped for the best of my outpatient visit with Dr. Paul Starker and it was! Dr. Starker is a consummate professor who examined me thoroughly and had a great “bedside physician manner”. Dr. Starker walked me step by step of my options for treatment and with a sense of humor; which helped relieve my anxiety. Thank you Dr. Starker you are the best!
My mother had a hemorrhagic stroke in April and was transferred to Overlook for surgery. The bleed consumed her entire brain. It was almost as bad as possible. Dr Saphier and his team performed surgery almost immediately. She stayed for 3 weeks post op. Valerie and the team at the Caregivers Center took amazing care of my family and myself giving us a place to go and relax during her recovery. She’s still with us today, receiving therapy, and recovering thanks to Overlook. Eternally grateful.
Great hospital and staff. My primary care works in this hospital and I’m glad he told me to go here. I have lupus and most hospitals just ignore what’s going on and blame lupus but this hospital did the opposite, I’m happy with the care I received.
I had my baby boy in this hospital and had a great experience, I mean as great as natural birth can be... all nurses were a delight and treated us with great respect and lots of kindness. At least the maternity unit is as good as it can be, I even got a nice massage before I got discharge, the food is pretty good and we could have visitors at any time and as many as we wanted! I really did not want to go home.
