feedback about Reading Hospital
I was debating between a 2 or 3 star rating for this doctor’s office. I gave it 3 stars because I generally have good experiences when I go in for my appointments and all the doctors/staff are friendly in my opinion. The one thing that I absolutely HATE about this office is the fact that you can NEVER speak to anyone directly and when you leave messages with questions or concerns, you’re lucky if you get a call back within a reasonable time...if at all. It’s too late in my pregnancy to switch offices now, but I will not be using this office in the future.
I wanted to switch to another doctor since I moved and don't want to drive over an hour to my old doctors office with a newborn. I called this office over over four times with no answer and I left two voicemails to schedule an appointment. I clearly gave my name and phone number twice on each message so there wouldn't be an issue because of that since I read that was an issue in the reviews. The first call and message went 48 hours before I decided to call back to try and reach someone... No answer so so left another message it has been three days and still no return call. I have tried to call other times as well with no answer. Guess this practice doesn't want any new business so just call another place because you won't get through to them.
I've been a patient of this practice since 2010 when I was pregnant with my son and it was on Penn Ave. I used to have minor scheduling issues as well back then, but since then it's been a breeze. I like the newer location and I schedule mostly everything I need on the MyChart app through Tower Health. I can schedule not only in this office but also at the Reading Hospital as I'm currently pregnant with twins. Communication is a breeze with the availability of email on the app as well. My questions get answered usually the same day. When I'm not pregnant, I normally see Dr. Leaman who is fantastic and always so calming no matter what my problem is. Dr. Ghoubrial delivered my son oh so many years ago and I couldn't ask for a better doctor. I suppose if you're a new patient, it could be difficult to get in here as they are so very busy. I understand this. Perhaps others should try scheduling online (it may have you wait a while) but still, it takes out the frustration of being on the phone for a while.
I LOVE Dr. Dubois! She is fantastic!
But trying to get a hold of anyone in the office is next to impossible.
This place is horrible when it comes to scheduling. I was suppose to have a follow up with my dr after 2 wks. I’ve called twice now trying to set it up. The first time they transferred me to the nurses line because they weren’t sure (left a message on the nurses line and it’s been two weeks and no call yet). I decided they got busy so I called again today. Well the “lovely” lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. I told her my availability (usually what they want when scheduling) and she was offering me everything but that. I stated okay unfortunately these are the times I can come because I work full time so I will find a practice with better availability. She replied “you’re going to find a new dr” I stated yes. She then LAUGHED and said Goodluck with that.
It’s a shame the practice is ran like this because I actually liked my dr. Mind you just started going there in January and it’s February and I’m leaving already.
