Decent enough hospital, neurological department is top notch, ER is usually pretty quick, only reason for the low stars is security can really use some lessons on how to speak to people. Won't mention the particulars of what this gentleman had to say to me as i was waiting for my mother outside of the ER as if I'm supposed to know i can't wait n my car there, no signs are clearly posted stating that just wish some people could be more professional i really don't appreciate the constant attitude from security staff, she ended up walking back in thinking i left her there. Like sorry you're a security guard and couldn't qualify to become a police officer doesn't mean you have to he the rudest human being i have ever encountered, just wish i got the name of the security guy.

If you are expecting I would highly recommend this hospital! With my first birth I got a spa like treatment with the nurses! They were so supportive and helpful! I cried when I had to leave! I just moved further away but for my second there is no way I am going to give birth anywhere else!

The patient never gets to rest, someone keeps coming in to the room often... They should find a way to allow patients to enforce do not disturb hours. Cafeteria takes forever to deliver food, there's no way to get food after 6 pm.... Increase staff and efficiency. Patients shouldn't starve Nurse Dana in postpartum was amazing. She is super knowledgeable and helped me a lot with a lot of her insights she is very helpful and open to a lot of recommendations to help me recover. Nurse Yovanne was very kind and supportive.. Nurse Barb P. Was also good and knew how to do her job really well.

My daughter and I took my grandson to St. Barnabas Livingston for routine blood testing last Friday afternoon July 26. Got there about 1:10 PM and checked in with no problem. After that we were directed to go to the lab. We arrived at the lab approximately 01:40 PM and my daughter put her name on the waiting list. There were several others waiting ahead of us. There were no staff members at the reception desk. We sat there for about 30 minutes waiting. During this period of time we could see one staff member drinking an iced coffee in the back and talking to another staff member. Finally after about 30 minutes a patient came out of the lab area and another was called in. Nothing was said to us or any of the others in the waiting room to explain the delay or even acknowledge that we were there. We waited 10 more minutes and walked out. Two hours of time wasted. We will not be returning to St. Barnabas.
