feedback about Saint Francis Hospital, Inc
Nurses have always been top notch. Doctors are hit and miss. They tend to talk down to you as a patient. I have plenty of experience as a patient. The one star is for their billing and administration. After receiving care in the pediatric ER for my son when he cut the end of his finger almost off, our insurance rejected payment for his service because it was out of network. Apparently, the contracted provider was not contracted with BC/BS at the time even though St. Francis is an in-network provider. We were stuck with a bill for over $2,200 and no help from billing to compromise. Now that it's February, I get a bill for last year for a test run during a hospital stay because - the physician conducting the test allowed his contract with BC/BS to lapse until a month after my service. So again, we are stuck with that bill - 6 months later. So - if you go to St. Francis, make sure to ask everyone who looks or touches you if they are contracted with your insurance. Also ask to make sure anyone who reads test results is contracted also - even if St. Francis says they are in-network. I know of 2 other folks who are dealing with the same issue.
A full ER waiting room and I think this hospital only has 3 staff members working ER tonight. No continuity of care. I have been waiting from after 11PM to after 3 AM. I have two rare diseases and that could cause my lungs to close up. Only to be told they had no clue what medications to give me. And NO CLUE when anyone would be seen. I learned that the local news had mentioned the UNDER STAFFED HOSPITALS IN OKLAHOMA. Doctors/nurses burnout was not the only reason. Hospitals in Oklahoma are not paying staff/offering reasonable salaries as well. This hospital was so unprofessional they did not want to give the name of the person that was in charge so I could make a formal complaint. When I left I was not given any forms to sign. Backwoods.....unprofessional hillbillies. I have concluded after living in Oklahoma a few years that all doctors attended the university of Phoenix 👩🏻💻 👎🏽 #Fail
I am sure the hospital side of things is great to work with not sure because I was never admitted or treated by the hospital. I got a simple scan done at another location and their business side and billing are terrible people and do nothing to help patients even when your making clear efforts to pay off your bill. Just don't ever go to this hospital unless you have no other choice.
After all these 39 + years, you failed me. So disappointed. So very disappointed. Same treatment that K Mark Scott mentioned above. But was told after waiting 24 hours to get in a room, they didn't treat orthopedic conditions. Had to follow up with a primary care giver. Sent out the door in a very rapid manor when I started questioning this. We have very good insurance but referred out. We are not pill chasers. $25k hospital bill just to be sent out the door.
The doctors, nurses and staff are the most spectacular individuals ever. I highly recommend if you are in trouble go here for help
