If I could give 0 stars, I would. I took my son to the ER over a year ago and they apparently they never updated my mailing address, even though I filled out all new forms indicating a new address. The outstanding bill from after the insurance never reached me. Instead of wondering why I never paid, they sat on it for a year and I just pulled a collection bill out of the mail. I tried calling the St. Joseph billing department to work this out without turning this over a collection agency, but was told sorry for you luck and I should have checked with my insurance company to make sure it was taken care of. I would never recommend St. Joseph Hospital to anyone.

Had table tilt procedure then couple months later stents placed in heart - care was exceptional BUT billing has been driving me crazy for months. Can’t understand why my account can’t be finalized within three/four months. They charge penalties if payment isn’t received quickly but we can’t penalize them if their billing take YEARS.

I almost lost my life unnecessarily. I am forever scared and feel this facility is a threat to this community.

Their ER department has entirely too many staffers that are passè about treating trauma/triage patients. I was in pain for 3hours before receiving pain meds. After being diagnosed with appendicitis, their demeanor and attitude totally changed from uncaring to suddenly doing their jobs🤕

So evidently when prescribing medications, insurance isn’t factored in. I was told “We prescribe the best medication. My 7 yr old and I wasted our New Years Eve & will still wake up sick.
