This is the best hospital in the world. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Different ethnicity group, but all working together to achieve, and to provide you with your best health care experience ever. Maternity section is the best. Private spacious rooms and they provide you with 3 meals per day of your choice. What more could you ask for. Favorite doctor is Pastor Dr. Odiah
After great experiences over 10 years , the streak has ended. I'm not sure what happened to this hospital but I am done with them after this visit. As it is , I am going to try and be switched to another hospital tomorrow morning. The unprofessionalism I have experienced over the last 3 days is unbelievable. The rudeness, lack of concern and overstepping of doctors orders is unbelievable here. When a doctor writes an order who gives a nurse the right to change said order. They leave monitor alarms ringing all night long. A patient can be in mid sentence talking to a staff member and be turned away from as if they aren't even there. I had a nurse try to instruct me that I could take another dose of medicine in a certain time frame when it said clearly right on the bottle that you couldn't. Staff really needs to be closely looked after or even retrained. I am so disappointed with SNCH that I swear I'll never come back here.
I was admitted to ward F3 on September 19, 2018, and was discharged on October 25, 2018. I entered the F3 ward sick, tired and scared. I could barely walk from having a severe case of cellulitis. My condition was out of control. I'm grateful for the care I received from all who helped me to healthy. From maintenance, nutrition, health-aids, nurses, and doctors, all care that was given to me was genuine-quality care. Also, I appreciate letting me ware cozy baggy clothes to feel more comfortable and helped me feel less sick while resting to get better. I felt comfortable, cared for, and safe during my stay. Thank you all for the amazing care.
Labor and Delivery, Maternity, and NICU departments are great. Maternity should be better staffed but the nurses do what they can with the resources they have. They have some real quality people working in these groups and a few that I think they could do without as well. But you find that anywhere you go. You can tell most of the people there really, truly, care about you and your family. You can spot the people who are just there for a paycheck almost as soon as you meet them, but they are few and far between.
L&D nurses came to visit us in Maternity after we delivered just to see how we were doing. By the time we left, we felt like family. Great, great hospital for having a child. The people working in these units should be recognized for their outstanding service.
It is the worst emergency hospital I've been in . I am having chest pains , the triage nurse told me, patients coming from ambulances have more preference than patients in waiting rooms. I am here 3 hours and I cannot see a doctor. Triage nurse said there is no beds, I have been going to Queens Hospital Center for the past 15 years and the service there is far more efficient than here. You are seen in 20 mins tops at arrival ,no delays staff there is more friendly and efficient they treat emergencies as priority. Not here!!!
