South Nassau Communities Hospital

I have nothing but good things to say about South Nassau. Their team is truly one of a kind. The L&D and Maternity nurses are AWESOME and so compassionate. They have gone above and beyond for me and their teamwork is impeccable. South Nassau provides excellent customer service. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, PCAs, food service, and house keeping staff.

I’m currently a cancer patient at SNCH. The doctors, nurses and staff here have treated me and my family with the highest standard of care. From dealing with logistics regarding my care to dealing with the physical and mental toll of battling this disease, everyone has taken the utmost priority in making sure I’m well taken care of. I can assume that with Mount Sinai being affiliated with the hospital things will get even better. Thank you.

I went for foot surgery arranged by my specialist. The facility is pretty decent and the staff is generally pretty responsive, but the arrangement and follow up channel to call and reach someone that knows a thing about outpatient surgery is nothing short of a mess. They called my home phone, spoke to someone that doesn't speak English and I had no way to find the calling department to confirm whether I can even drink water. There should be appointment specialists, a central number to call from people that rarely if ever visit the hospital to know how a booking for foot surgery is done and where to go. Once this mess is cleaned up, I'm sure the ratings will increase.

Just had my second surgery here and my second wonderful experience. The staff is compassionate and very attentive. The nursing staff was always friendly and happy to help with even the smallest things. They checked in with me frequently too, so I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable asking for assistance. It was clean and smelled fresh. Hopefully I never need to return, but I highly recommend this facility.

On January 2, 2019 I suffered a cerebral stroke. SNCH did an amazing job from the 1st day to the last. I thank all the doctors and amazing staff. You are truly Amazing! I've had 4 other excellent experiences dating back to 1987. The birth of my 2 children including a tonsillectomy and appendectomy of my daughter's. My #1 Hospital choice and recommendation.
