The hospital staff took such amazing care of me, and I am so thankful for their knowledge and abilities. I had a medical emergency on a Thursday evening and was immediately admitted to Emergency Room in I think critical care unit and then into hospital ICU for two days. Their quick response resulted in my miraculous full recovery. My experience was outstanding. The caring Doctors, Nurses, PA, aides and staff were all wonderful. I felt extremely well taken care of and the new ICU wing is absolutely beautiful. Special KUDOS to Dorin in ER and Nurse Brian in ICU for your amazing care and abilities making me feel so safe and secure.

If I could give NEGATIVE 5 stars I would!! If you have nothing to do and you want to spend a thousand dollars to be transferred around the hospital for 9 hours. Then this is the hospital for you. A disgrace. Maybe this is what Americans are use to?!? I am Canadian and have been to Emergency room a number of times and never spent more than two hours. The entire American process was inefficient and time consuming and quite frankly I felt like I was in a third world country that had just opened it’s first hospital and was trying to work out the kinks. Next time I have an Emergency I will be buying a ticket to Canada going to Emergency there And coming home. How insane is it that I would see a doctor sooner by doing that and save money at the same time!!!

I would give negative stars if allowed. Went to the ER this week. Took five hours to even see someone when I was have difficulty breathing :( Was stuck in the hallway unattended to when they had open rooms. No one checking on me, couldn't get anyone to help me to the bathroom. Only one great attendant who stayed with me to go to C-San and then a nurse pulled her away from me while I was in the bathroom saying 'she'll be fine on her own'. Total of 15 hours, three different shifts of staff (docs and nurses) all different opinions on my diagnosis. Most of the staff is aggravated and snotty. Very sorry that the ambulance took me here. DON'T GET CARE HERE!!!

My mom recently went for an operation it was rough I can't tell you how happy I was she was at Southside. She recouped on the 3rd floor. So many wonderful people work there. Debbie and Elaine are outrageous RNs they go out of their way for any little problem you might have. It was so nice to know when I left she was in great hands. I can't thank them enough. Everyone there so caring and so sweet. Thank you all for being the people you are! You are the best!!!!!

Triage was excellent, however, after we got to the ER the service (lack of it) was abominable. The CNA (great) gave us a urine jar and said to give it to the nurse. After waiting an hour and seeing no one, I went to the nurses station to give them the sample. They hadn’t even assigned a nurse! After another hour and still no nurse, we asked for the charge nurse. She really didn’t seem concerned and lied about how the nurse was probably with someone else. Entire ER staff was unprofessional so we decided to leave. STAY AWAY FROM Southside.
