Southside Hospital

We went here for an open heart procedure. The staff that took care of my mom was amazing as well as the doctor. Doctor Kalimi is one of the best heart surgeons. Everyone was so nice and caring. My mom's heart is doing great right now and the surgery just took place. There are some complaints about the food, but i thought it was pretty decent.

My Dad was brought here by ambulance while I was flying up from Atlanta. I was nervous based on the reputation of this hospital when I moved away. I was so pleasantly surprised! My Dad did not have to be admitted, but the ER doctors were wonderful. They were attentive, as quick as they could be while waiting for test results and very transparent about what was going on as well as how long everything would take. It was very busy, there were patients in the hallway but we never felt rushed. The support staff was equally as calm and forthcoming with information. I would not hesitate to use this ER again if the need came up.

ER SECURITY GUARD TRISTAN NEEDS TO GO! Followed behind an ambulance for my mother in law possibly having a heart attack, “ after not being able to find a spot and sending my fiancé in alone so I could wait in the car by the front doors, this guy told her she wasn’t allowed to go in to see her mother (now almost an hour after she left us in an ambulance) and when she asked for a supervisor and his name, he told her “when she moved her car she could have the info” and while she’s reporting him he kept walking behind her going “she’s lying”! What kind of people do that to someone there to see a sick loved one! And why allow that to be greeting people at an emergency room entrance?! Absolutely disgusting!

If I heard this place change. I came here from 10.30pm to 5.20am I have seeing not one doctor. They all claimed they were busy and my doctor is coming. I ended up leaving this place by 5.25 am without seeing. I guess you can make something pretty but you can't change the business there.

I am very impressed with the Hospital ... I have not been to this hospital in over 25 years ... What A Difference!! The care and support from the ENTIRE staff is exceptional .... They took care of my family member giving her compassionate, coordinated and respectful care. Cutting Edge, State of the Art Technology . Thank You.
