This was the best hospital I've ever been to. They were quick to get me in. I had emergency surgery and they were nice and efficient. When I got my room on 2 west, the nurses I had were exceptional! Ali and Jess went over and above any nurse I've ever had. They were prompt. I never had to wait for anything I asked for more than 5 minutes. They were always cheerful and smiling. I highly recommend this hospital.

Best hospital in Michigan. Period. End of story. They have helped so many of my family members and friends. EVERY nurse here deserves a Daisy Award. Very friendly and caring staff. Never had a unprofessional nurse or bad staff experience. Clean, very appealing and sterile, and very up to date facility. I don't like hospitals but if I have to stay at one, Spectrum Health is the best of the best. Keep up the great work. PS: Delivery of a baby is awesome here and God forbid you ever go, children emergency is very caring towards children.

Diagnosed my son with osteomyelitis last August. Sent him home on oral antibiotics. Never treated it correctly. He went septic nearly died in February. Thank God we went to St Mary's where the doctors actually treated him. He is still recovering after a surgery. But in good hands. Completely disappointed.

Trying to pay a bill here is very hard and over complicated. They won’t let you set up a payment plan over the phone anymore. The girl at billing office seemed to have very little idea as to how I was supposed to change my payment plan. I’ve had decent doctors here and my care has always been nice but everything else has been a hassle. Go to Metro or Mercy Health if you can.

I was in the hospital with my daughter who has cancer. Before we went in I told the DR that she was a smoker and had medical marijuana and would need sedation when we got there. Counting the Dr that admitted her she saw no less than 5 Drs she said she was suffering from anxiety and either it was not their department or they lied and said she never mentioned it. Their hospital Drs do not listen and do not seem to respect women or they knew she was on medicaid I can not be sure , A nurse put an IV in the wrong place and put in the wrong gauge for a CT scan then a very nice nurse put in the right gauge in the right spot and the girl in Radiology pulled on it blew the iV and sent her back to her room for her nurse to fix. Both her husband and I were proud of how she acted but all three of us had a bad feeling that if they can not deal with an IV and a CT scan properly. We all had bad feelings and decided to leave. After the CT scan she was supposed to have her kidney removed but by that time we had no faith left in the Drs or the hospital. My Question is ? Is Spectrum Hospital as good as they advertise or are we fooled by advertising in a very important part of our lives? The nurse called to complain about the care she was receiving but nurses are not allowed to complain on behalf of their patients. No one came up from the complain department to see us they said they called us but did not when we left a message they did not return my call. I guess the only way to get attention is to get an attorney! I tried to shorten this but could not see any part to leave out. Be careful of fancy advertising!!!!
