Every staff member I encounter during my visits at Spotsy Regional is professional, friendly, helpful and caring. From front desk to check-in to labs to Infusion Center I always am confident that I am in the space of genuinely engaged and knowledgeable individuals. Who would think that going to the hospital would be an occasion to look forward to?
I came in with my mom tonight and she didn’t get treated. We have never been to this hospital before and I would not recommend them to anyone. She came in for pain in her head. The guy who took vitals that sits at the front desk was playing on his phone the entire time and then when he put up his phone he started looking up pictures of beaches on his work computer. It was clear they didn’t want to do any work. My mom and I both felt that the doctor was not listening to her. It seemed very unorganized. I’ve never been in a hospital where nobody is in the waiting room so it’s clear that they are not used to doing any work and probably just didn’t want to be bothered because they had other things that are more important to do like look up pictures of beaches. I have never. Whatever they are doing over this is not it. Do better guys!
We went to another hospital last night who ordered a CT scan and it turns out she had an infection behind her eye. Great job to the people over at spotsylvania who don’t know what they’re doing and send people home not feeling well because it seems that happens quite frequently. After all it looks like they did send someone else home with pneumonia. I’ll give you a call between 9-5 but it doesn’t seem like anything will even get done. You’re probably too busy looking at pictures of beaches! All the replies back to reviews seem so generic “oh we take this very seriously” I beg to differ. It’s the same response for every person and if you really took it “that seriously” then you wouldn’t be getting so many bad reviews because you would be talking to your staff and making some changes but it seems the behavior and pattern continues.
I had been putting off getting a mammogram for various reasons, but I finally decided it was time to bite the bullet and get it done. I had been receiving emails inviting me to Spotsylvania Regional's Mammo and Massage program and I was intrigued. I thought to myself that if I had to get a mammogram, it had to be better with a free massage included right? I signed up, requested a particular day and time, and got an immediate email confirming my appointment and then received an appointment reminder email a couple of days before my appointment.
Well, let me say that from the moment I stepped in to the hospital, I was treated like royalty. I was welcomed with a smile from the lady who was at the information booth as I walked into the door. She made me feel so welcome and the information that I needed to fill out was easy and quick. After turning in my information, I probably waited about 2 minutes before they called me in to have my mammogram performed. The young lady who walked me into the room and the mammography technologist made me feel right at home. They even offered me complimentary snacks and beverages. I felt like a queen as I drank my sparkling beverage. I must say, that even after that special treatment, I can truthfully say that I received the best back massage that I ever had.
That experience changed my outlook on having mammograms. I now will look forward to having future mammograms at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
My experience couldn’t have been better! The new 3D machine is comfortable and fast. The only thing was that my results were not send to the requested physician. I will definitely be returning next year.
I came into here a couple years ago with flank pain, fever, some other things. I ended up being septic and needed to be admitted for a week. I had the best nurses and staff. They took care of me well. I wish I knew who the nurses were that took care of me then, because they were AMAZING!!
