a safe, smart place to go to when you're in doubt of what makes you go there? you just know they're going to take care of it right away. Get the best doctors and most modern science lives there. finally a place where people do what others won't? make good on their word and care!. it's our responsibility see that they get paid and do everything in our power to help them get their insurance payments.cause ending up in the emergency room can happen at any time to anyone at any moment and and it doesn't have to be your fault. Thanks St. Charles for making America great again.
If I could, I would give 0 stars. Rude and unprofessional staff. ER waiting room staff should be trained a little better on how to behave while people in pain are waiting to be seen. Instead of blasting music, playing on cell phones, having loud inappropriate work place conversations, maybe they should focus on work, or check in with people who have been waiting for hours to at least let them know they haven’t been forgotten about. I understand emergency rooms are a busy place. But as far as being the face of the ER, the waiting room staff should learn to act in a slightly more professional manner. This was by far the worst of all of the terrible experiences we’ve had here.
Hopefully you get hurt during the day so you can visit a real hospital. One of the worst experiences I have ever had, was turned away after a high speed accident and was told “if you start throwing up come back”. To go across the street where they couldn’t believe what happened at st. Charles. I got a surgery(soon after), and if I hadn’t, I could have been paralyzed for the rest of my life after visiting this joke called st. Charles, if I had not consulted professionals at cascade.
**Please read before considering admitting yourself or a loved one to this hospital ** Very poor treatment and they care nothing about the patients, and are disrespectful. The staff treats you like your complaints are made up and you're there seeking medication. I went to this ER (barely walking and using their wheelchair)with excruciating burning pelvic pain, extremely high blood pressure, nausea, etc with a diagnosed UTI the previous month. After no findings on the urinalysis, they were prepared to discharge me without any treatment or diagnoses for the cause of my symptoms. In severe distress, I told B. Campbell I worried about returning home in this much pain. He said "We can't admit you to the hospital just to manage your pain, I can have a social worker come talk to you". My mom was persistant, so they finally did a CT scan. I had an inflamed & infected kidney with evidence of passed kidney stones. The "doctor" prescribed antibiotics and sent me on my way, without scheduling a follow-up with a urologist. After I received my discharge papers, I realized the person portraying himself as a doctor was really only a Physician's Assistant.
I just want to Thank all of you in the ED, my situation was hard but thru it you guys gave me love, hope, understanding and compassion and that has givin me enough courage and strength THANK YOU!!! Much love Room8
