feedback about St John's Riverside Hospital
What an amazing staff, it’s a small hospital, very well organized, clean and friendly. They also have an amazing cafe in the lobby as well. Visitors parking will cost you $5 for a token to get out of visitors lot which you purchase in the main lobby entrance at the security window.
The hospital staff are really nice and helpful. The only detail I am really unhappy with is the General surgeon Dr. Kant. She assisted my mom during the months of November, December, and February of 2018-2019. My mom had appendicitis, and it ruptured in november, this Dr. Wanted to do a interval recovery for my mom, avoiding surgery since the beginning. Very uncertain and inaccurate. Very bad ethics, and really unprofessional. She frequently used the overweight excuse to jot operate my mom. She was hospitalized three times during these two months. My mom really got worsed the last time in this past February. She finally got surgery today, and did very well, thank God. Mind you, there was still part of the infected appendix left inside her, which Dr. Kant said was probably not there anymore. Would not recommend this Dr.
After many stays at St JOHNS Riverside Hospital I am again giving it a 5 star rating.
Yes the time waiting for a room is a bit excessive but I’m sure there’s a good reason for it. All ER staff are excellent.
I would like to say that in my (way too many) stays I’ve selected what I feel is a top nurse and also one top nurse assistant and they are Doreen as best nurse on the 8th floor and Daisey as best nurse assistant on the 4th floor (west wing for both) Doreen goes above and beyond to do her job properly and its
very comforting knowing she’s caring for you. Now Daisey is so open spirited and brings the best out of the best of the patient no matter how they feel.
Thank you both.
Will not recommend this Hospital. The ER is old and cramped good luck if you don't get an infection. The ER Doctor called 2 prescriptions to Walgreens pharmacy on 2/14/19 one of them the pharmacist caught an error tried calling the Doctor seceral times for a correction and nobody answered the phone or returned the message. Today is 2/19/19 and they are still waiting for a return call. WILL NOT RECOMMEND DRIVE TO GREENWICH HOSPITAL THERE YOU'RE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN.
Very fast for Ambulatory Surgery. Care was very attentive and informative. I was impressed. It had a "no rush" feel and everything felt just right. The hospital has an antiquated feel but, at the end of the day, I was pleased with the service. I would give it 5 stars if I wasn't misinformed about free visitors parking.
