feedback about St John's Riverside Hospital
I had an excellent experience in the ER. I cut myself at home and my husband and I drove over to get me stitched up. I was greeted warmly at reception, the registration person was terrific, the ER waiting room was busy (but quiet and clean—pretty good for a Thursday night around 10p). Michael (Moran? Mohan?), the nurse practitioner, was funny, patient, and calming. Following his good care (medical krazy glue to seal the wound), I received a tetanus shot from a nurse——and am sorry I didn’t get her name because she deserves a shout-out for her kindness and taking time to explain things. All worked well. We were out in about two hours.
Emergency room is terrible. Used to be my hospital. But you will stay there for ever. More than 8 hrs. To give an Urine results takes them mire than 5 hrs. It’s ridiculous.
I feel blessed and lucky to have Dr Evan Kovac as my Surgeon. Dr Kovac not only demonstrated his skills and expertise in my recent surgery with him, he was also in total control from start to end with utmost display of professionalism. I highly recommend him. The Nurses and staff at St John Riverside Hospital likewise displayed with highest degree of professionalism in taking care of my needs as patient. The Hospital is immaculately clean, smells good, and with amazing views. I highly recommend this Hospital.
My husband's mother was in the care of St John's nurses and doctors as she was dying. Their compassion and care was so helpful as we all went through the process of her death. I can't imagine that there is a better staff anywhere.
Went in with Chest pain and racing heart, have a history of heart disease was told to have a seat in the waiting room. Waited 15 minutes while my husband told the staff I needed help. Was told there was nothing that could be done. Staff terribly unprofessional. Waited about 40 minutes to see doctor. Had an EKG taken by two nurses who were so busy goofing
around it was done wrong and could not be read. Another one was done an hour later. About an hour and 15 minutes later blood was drawn. A new doctor came on shift and was more concerned and professional and ordered a Chest x-ray and iv fluids. All these things should have been done immediately. I left AMA because I was stable and went to a decent hospital. Avoid this hospital unless you need a few stitches or have a sprain. I have never seen such out of date equipment and such careless unprofessional staff. Also the Security Guard and Receptionist were beyond rude and nasty. There was a female nurse sound asleep at the nurses station. I have never seen a Hospital in this condition remain open. Disgraceful.
