At facilities with my daughter after a surgery and she had to be kept inpatient and I am thoroughly disappointed. The rooms at tiny, I feel like we are in a closet. All the nursing staff we have encountered thus far have been very unfriendly, no bedside manner at all. Acted as if it is an inconvenience for you to call out for anything. I have worked in the medical field as well as my daughter and we can’t believe how unprofessional they have been. Not following protocols that we know for a fact are in place and second guessing doctors orders. I really feel if she were at a different facility her healing would be much easier on her.
I can honestly say it was the best experience I had in an emergency room ! I was having pinched Nerve/anxiety attack and the front desk lady was real understanding and just seconds after filling out my information I was sent to a nurse she was real friendly and understanding as well! Following seconds after that a nurse named David was real nice and relatable!once in my room not even a minute passed the doctor named mark walked in , he seemed real genuine in making sure I was okay.he was also very communicative in making sure I understood everything ! My physicians dont even treat me the way this emergency staff did! Thumbs up ! And big thanks from me !
Now granted, this was an outpatient procedure but I did have to be put under for it. I had a good experience! My nurse was so sweet and the staff were kind and considerate of the unfortunate circumstances. I was really scared because of the abundance of bad feedback on Google, but I just wanted to let another scared future patient know that it is possible to have a good experience here, I can't speak for the other areas like ER & inpatient, but outpatient was great!
If it were possible to give no stars, I would. I am very disappointed in the"care" that one of my family members received at your facility. She presented with extremely severe vaginal bleeding, leg pain, back pain, dizziness and some confusion. (She is also anemic) The first couple of hours seemed okay.. scheduling the needed tests and procedures that were going to be done while she was there. But the second it was found that her insurance had been cancelled, it became a whole different ball game. All tests and procedures were cancelled, she was told they can't do anything else for her, she was told she most likely has cervical cancer, was given an extremely expensive cancer doctor phone number to call instead and SENT AWAY! I understand that having no insurance isn't good but how can anyone with a conscience knowingly send someone away and refuse to help them when they are in that bad of shape. Shame, shame, shame on your hospital! I will be telling everyone I know NOT to go there. Zero compassion, zero help, zero conscience, ZERO HOSPITAL!!
Amidst the bad reviews, I wanted to share my experience. I recently gave birth to my second child. Because they closed L&D at Turkey Creek and I was not desiring to change my OB, I was told this was where I would deliver. Things progress very quickly from triage to getting in my actual room. Everyone I encountered moved as quickly as they could and very extremely polite in my delicate state. I ended up delivering before any pain medication kicked in and with some one other than my OB. Afterward I felt extremely grateful for the nursing staff and Dr. Black for being patient and coaching me through the hardest experience of my life. Afterwards, every nurses that cared for us in the 48 hours we stayed made sure we were equipped with all we needed, was more than willing to get us anything we needed, never became annoyed with all of our visitors, and quite frankly made the experience 1000% times better than the delivery i had in turkey creek 3 years ago.
