feedback about Tulane Medical Center
I love Tulane Medical Center! The doctors work as a team to find solutions to medical issues. I recently had a surgical procedure over there and it was one of the most organized hospital settings that I've ever experienced. The staff is happy, everyone has a specific role, and for me, that's a good sign that it is a great place to be a patient.
(probably to work too 😉)
Got a call last night for my husband to be at Tulane medical center at 0700 the next morning for a bone marrow biopsy. Got here at 0615 got admitted, saw at least six different nurses asking the same questions “ when was the last time he ate, how tall was he, how much does he weigh, any allergies. It’s been 5 hrs now and we are still waiting on them to call him into surgery. I over heard one Dr. saying that one of the nurses went to lunch. Seriously! So what have they been doing this whole time? Do tell us to be here at 0700 to be the first patients in and have us to wait for hours until YOU have had your lunch. If the surgery starts at 1pm then tell us that it starts at 1pm. I’m done.
I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic and everyone who work here. Every appointment (which is 2 so far) has been extremely pleasant. My physician listens carefully and answers every question of mine. But most importantly, he is there for me and doesn’t seem to want to be anywhere else. Never in a rush and highly intelligent. Dr. O’Brien is my doctor.
I was treated with kindness and respect. My only issue was that I had to ask several times before a doctor came and discussed my surgery with me. I wanted to know if I still had ovaries and noone knew. Eventually someone came to discuss with me.
Dr. Savoie is an exceptional physician in every way. The entire med staff and office personnel were so knowledgeable, organized, pleasant and helpful. A great experience!
