The care that this facility provides is absolutely first class. Even better than the care that they provide is the staff and their professionalism. You can tell they all love what they do. From the emergency room admission, the cancer center to the overnight care. Absolutely a first class facility. David

We are from Indiana, but were visiting family in Oil City this past weekend. Our son had been experiencing some difficulty with his breathing, so we took him to the ER at UPMC Northwest to get checked out. The ER staff was wonderful with him and they really helped him feel more comfortable in a scary situation. He left feeling much better! Thank you to all of the ER staff!

Went in a few months ago for kidney stones. Only got one shot of can't remember what it was, oh yeah, it was not enough is what it was. Laid around in agony until they discharged me and could get my prescription filled that afternoon. This place is in the darkages. I still have the kidney stones by the way.

Today I went into the ER with chest pains. I was told to wait until the registration door opened and then I was next. I sat in the waiting room for 10 minutes before I could register. The registrar called the ER and told them she had a person with chest pain and I was sent back to the waiting room. After 30 minutes in the waiting room, I went back to triage to give them information and they performed an EKG and took my vitals. They sent me back to the waiting room because they did not have a room available and said they would get me as soon as they could. I sat for an additional 20 minutes in the waiting room, when the registrar called me to finish registering. When I asked how long it would be, she stated that they would get to me as soon as they could. I told her I was leaving. I proceeded to Titusville Hospital, was taken back immediately, and a complete work up for chest pain was performed. Thank you Titusville. Shame on you UPMC NW.
