This is by far the best hospital I've been too in the RGV. Very friendly and courteous staff members. Very professional. If anyone has a choice to go to any hospital, I sincerely recommend you come to this one. You'll be treated with respect and as family , unlike the others here in Brownsville and throughout the valley. I'm a veteran and I've never been treated like I did in any other hospital. My total respects to this hospital staff. Very professional.
The emergency department here is a joke. The wait times are crazy and when you finally get seen it isn’t even by a doctor. They send you to a little room with a nurse and after questioning they decide if they want to see you or not. Or they just give you an ibuprofen send you home and charge 2 thousand dollars. If you want good treatment go to Valley regional unless you want to die then by all means go to Valley baptist. I tried giving this hospital 2 chances but the care was below par both times. Terrible excuse for a hospital. If you can’t make to the other hospital after you get enough care to be stable transfer to another hospital before their negligence kills you.
I had my two children there, they were so nice, respectful and helpful, never forget this hospital, love them, thank you so much always 🙏❤️🌹
Overall the patient care team, Nurses LVNs CNAs etc, are great. They have really learned the art of customer service. The only thing that prevents getting 5 star is the food. Presentation is what makes eating an enjoyment, but overcooked, mushy vegetables is a definate turnoff. I practice WW with far less carbs and more protein, fresh veg & fruits. Start catering to more food plans and you'll get higher marks in the future....
Terrible service, constantly asked if I was pregnant even after the urine sample. Received an outrageous bill over 10 grand for being in the emergency room for 4 hours and no diagnosis.
