Valley Baptist Medical Center – Brownsville

I took my father after being in a vehicle collision with a semi, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. As soon as we walked in the hospital we were welcomed and greeted my Edgar (PA) he introduced his self and showed concern, he made us feel very safe and welcomed, we had come from a long week of doctors that seemed to be getting worse so we decided last minute the ER was the best choice since he was not getting better. Jesse RN was extremely caring and considered and Immediately helped my father. While they checked his vital and took his information. After we were taken in Edgar came to see my father and had the best bedside manners. We didn’t have to wait everyone especially Jesse and Edgar went above and beyond to help us. My father has been through so much and everything went so quick, everyone seem to be so well organized. My father was extremely happy and our only regret was not going sooner. I love the staff and this hospital if really amazing. I wish I can remember all the nurses and staff names to thank them personally. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel like so welcomed and caring.

Very warm and welcoming E.R. Never have I had this type of care with any other facilities in this type of way. Wish I could rate them 10+. Never will I go anywhere else even though Valley Regional is way closer. Good team from the front desk to the R.N.'s and Dr. Hussain. Great job in caring. Visited 7/24/19 in the a.m.

My wife went into the ER at Valley Baptist for a kidney infection that was septic. The ER Doctor treated my wife successfully and turned her over to the ICU. My wife was taken care of by a very kind nursing staff. However another Doctor was not assigned to her for 4 days, which concerned us. After doctor was assigned, he realized the staff had over medicating my wife for four days with morphine for her moderate pain. Other than that, the staff was friendly and informative, and very responsive for the few times she called for assistance.

If you go to the ER. The doctors never talk to you. Your lucky if a nurse stops by to help you with your pain. But they sure do run a lot of tests to charge your insurance

This is by far the best hospital I've been too in the RGV. Very friendly and courteous staff members. Very professional. If anyone has a choice to go to any hospital, I sincerely recommend you come to this one. You'll be treated with respect and as family , unlike the others here in Brownsville and throughout the valley. I'm a veteran and I've never been treated like I did in any other hospital. My total respects to this hospital staff. Very professional.
