I took my 81 year old father to the ER his heart rate was 41. And had fallen. He was seen by Peter Bates. I was told there is nothing they could do because he was still coherent. We were sent home. He was admitted in to a Joplin hospital a few hours later. So don't waste your time and money going to Via Christi.

I had a MDSave voucher to get a CT Scan. I drove an hour and a half to get it done. Registration went fine. When I got to radiology I waited only about 5 minutes. The radiologist was very kind. Everything went well and quickly. I was told the results would be sent to my doctor the next day. They were not. Then it was the weekend. Come Monday my doctor still hadn't seen anything. So I called the hospital, got transferred 4 times and ended up with some directors voicemail. Left one anyway. Then I tried faxing the number I was given to send the doctors order to. Come the next day I still hadn't heard anything. So I called again got transferred 3 times, ended up with another voicemail for someone who does CAT Scans. Left one anyway. Then I tried faxing the medical records number. Communication here seems impossible and I'm very disappointed that it's taking so long to get my results as I've been in pain for well over a month.

They were very nice to my husband sometimes though they seemed to be short-staffed when dealing with a lot of patients on the surgical floor but they did an excellent job taking care of their patients

Was a patient in the surgery center... the staff was very helpful and supportive.. a VERY pleasant experience..

This one star isn't even deserved, maybe for the receptionist at the er window that showed compassion because I was visibly sick. 4 people in my home have the flu, got over it because they got meds to help them from their doctors, me, having just moved here, I have no doctor, no way to get meds to get over whatever I have ( still undefined) so I find myself in this God forsaken place. When finally I get taken back this cocky nurse proceeds to tell me that " The Flu has no cure" yadda yadda yadda. He rambles. I already KNOW this, I'm looking for help to get over whatever I have which I'm assuming it's the flu because 4 other people in my home have it. Fast forawrd- I'm then swabbed by the nurse practitioner, which idk if they got a proper swab because my nose was as dry as the Mojave desert. But 30ish minutes later the first cocky guy comes in puts paperwork in my face, tells me to sign on the X and that I dont have a positive swab! Then without another word, ushers me out of the er room (if it can even be considered a room) I will NEVER go back to this hospital and I will recommend no one else does either. Theres no professionalism or quality of care, and I am shocked that this place is still open and operating.
