I live about a block away from this hospital, that is the only reason I have gone to the ER there about 4 times over a nine year period. Out of the 4 times 3 have been unpleasant experiences.
Today I arrived at 2:20am at the ER with shoulder and neck pain that has been getting worse over the last 2 weeks.
I have arthritis but this is a different kind of pain, I saw the Dr after only about an hours wait, he ether could not hear me, understand my accent, or is hard of hearing. He spent 3 minuets and I don’t think he understood what I was trying to explain.
He left and the nurse came in with a pill for pain and told me the Doctor hed ordered CT scans all I needed to do was wait.
About an hour and a half later I get the scans and wait for the results. Nurse comes in with discharge papers and a prescription for a pain reliever, I sign the discharge papers and I ask the nurse about the CT scan results, nurse says “oh yeah, it’s all fine, you are just a little sore and stiff.”
That’s it, I left and after roughly 3 hours I know nothing about what is going on or the results of the ct scans, all I have is a prescription for 12 pain pills to take every 4 hours for severe pain.
I am not ever, consously, coming back to this hospital, the staff have bad bedside manners and are unprofessional.
