The Nurses in out patient surgery are excellent i cant say enough how wonderful caring & professional they are. They listen to your needs they respond quickly. I wouldnt recommend any other hospital or nurses this place is clean & all staff & Drs. care & are very professional. I had nurse Taylor to care for me after surgery she was great! They all deserve more than 5 stars!

I had an a miscarriage here, they billed my old address at which point I never received the bill and had the joy of being told my bill was sent to collections. When I wrote an email for them to make it right they blamed me for EVERYTHING. Okay I'm 100% I updated my address when I got there and they had me sit there and check in and verify all my information. But somehow that was on me. When I called in after having my bill sent to collections, I paid in full like I always have! And they were supposed to send me the receipt of payment and I have yet to recieve it since two months ago that I paid. BUT IT'S ON ME about my address. NOT THEM who again can't seem to get my stuff to me even though I called to correct my address AGAIN. Ridiculous! NEVER again.

What a wonderful experience! While vacationing from Texas, I slipped while hiking and had a fractured tibia and fibula. Googled a hospital while driving down the mountain and Alta View came up. The surgeon and staff are warm, caring and professional. Helped me to feel at home and well cared for when so far from home. Couldn't ask for a better experience!

My opinion of the medical community is very similar to the fire department. I am super glad that we have the fire department, but also do not plan to use them for every single issue that I may have at my home. In the event of a small fire on the stove, I can put it out myself, otherwise the fire department shows up and all they know and want to do is pull out the big hoses and axes and go to work on your home. Again, there is a time and a place for the fire department (and I am super glad to have them), but they certainly are not needed at all times. I feel this parallel is needed, because I feel the same way about the current business of sick care in America. The modifications and new buildings of Alta View were needed a LONG time ago, and it is nice to have the hospital join the 21st century. However, the remodel is very cold, very stale, and really makes you feel like a cattle going in with the rest of the herd for treatment. This starts at the large communal check in, and then down a long hall to a mother waiting area, and then finally into see the doctor. They come in through a side portal and meet their standard 3-5 minutes and are off. Very impersonal, very cold. Further, this hospital seems much more interested in your money than your care. They would rather take all the time in the world to confirm your mode of payment and scan in every little thing to you account for 8-15 minutes, and then barely look at you to answer questions. I am happy that a couple of their doctors are fighting against all this (that we go see) but for the most part everyone is just busy "doing their job" or telling you that it is "not their job". So sad to see and be part of the unraveling of the medical community which is now more about injections and pills than actual treatment, help and advice.
