We recently had an emergency c section at Alta View and I was super nervous about the fact that they had construction happening at the hospital just outside my window, and knew before we delivered here. It hasn’t been an issue at all and I might have heard them hammering only once. The operation went well and our little guy is doing great. He has such a fantastic team of nurses taking care of him, as do I. Heidi is unreal and has made us feel so at home and loved. It’s like getting care from my own mother or mother in law. She knew how hard it was on me knowing that our baby would be staying at the hospital in the special care nursery for a while and figured out a way to get my ginormous hospital bed in there to meet my son and she’ll never truly know how much that meant to me and made an impact on my life. Will be having future babies here.
Update: it’s been almost 2 weeks since we had our baby and we’re still at the hospital (he was born at 35 weeks and needs some extra help). I was officially discharged after 5 days but I am able to live up here right now because they have a sort of “hotel” option that allows me to have a room since my son is still in special care. All of the nurses, front desk staff, housekeeping, and pediatricians who make rounds have made me feel so at home. It’s obviously not ideal living away from my family during this time but I couldn’t ask for more with the set up I have at Alta View.
