I would give zero stars if i could. In september i was rushed by ambulance from our parked car off the interstate. I was suffering from complications of cystic fibrosis and a double lung transplant. Oxygen and blood pressure very low. I could barely speak do to oxygen stats in the 70s. I made it to the E.R. where of course they start drilling me with the usual background questions. I asked to bring in my wife to answer these questions because i was literally starting to suffocate. They refused to let her in. I had to be rude and insist. They finally let her in. My wife told them of the cold and numbness i was experiencing on my whole right side. It was dismissed as nothing. Then i began to contort and contract my hands, fingers, and limbs. With doctors AND nurses all around me, my wife says look at him! What's wrong?! I've never seen him do this. Is he having a stroke?! Again, concerns were dismissed. No they said. He is doing that because of lack of oxygen. They were only a bit right. Lack of oxygen and the low blood pressure caused me to have several strokes RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF ABOUT 6 STAFF MEMBERS. Not one recognized signs or symptoms i was having. Shame on you Anderson E.R. staff!!!!! Praise God that i had only been affected in my right leg and left arm. Now, 2 months later i have full function in both limbs. Thank you Jesus!!!!
Was not a patient exactly, but while driving across the country with my children we realized we forgot a piece of my son's nebulizer. They were awesome in the ED and helped me get the part I needed without any hassle.
My daughter went to the ED because she was having alot of pain to her mouth , chin, neck, and gums. She was seen by the Dr. Mark A. Mason in the ED. He was HORRIBLE. His bedside manner sucked. He was dismissive of my daughter and treated her rudely and unfair. He pushed on her gums and then said, your gums are inflamed, I gonna write you a prescription for Penicillin and you need to take Ibuprofen. She told him that she had been taking Ibuprofen and it has not been helping her. She asked him if he could order some lab work or x-rays or something to verify that she has an infection. He REFUSED!. He never came back to speak with her. He sent in the Nurse. When she asked to speak with the charge nurse about her concerns, (Robin) She acted like she was there to hear my daughters concerns but immediately gave her discharge papers. Robin ONLY CAME IN THERE TO VALIDATE THE DOCTORS FEELINGS. Robin was also dismissive and unwilling to listen to her. My daughter continued to tell them that her pain was not controlled. She asked for them to help her and all of them refused. We then asked for the House Supervisor Noreen Hankins. She came down and went to the doctor as asked if he could listen to my patient concerns.My daughter asked if they could even give her the first dose of antibiotic and they refused. She returned and was the only person that was concerned. Anyway, my daughter never received and help. She left the ED the EXACT WAY THAT SHE CAME and they did not do anything for her! We tell people that Doctors and Nurses are concerned for their health and these doctors and nurses are giving all doctors and nurses a horrible name and making people not trust health care workers. What is unfortunate is that my daughter is a nurse and was treated this way as well. She knows how she should be treated and was treated like a second class citizen.
Went there for tonsillitis was miss diagnosed. Went another hospital and found out I have an abscess on my tonsil. Very poor service and the doctors at Anderson could care less about you or anyone else. They will treat you like a drug addict and send you on your way.
Today was my first time visiting and I was impressed. Everyone was friendly and polite. What really impressed me is that I got Triage really quickly!!! At other hospitals I usually wait about a hr or more just to get triage! The wait was long after that but that’s normal for most hospitals. I rather wait patiently and get accurate results rather than rush and leave with the same problem. Radiology was also great they explained everything well about the dye. Overall everything was great. I wasn’t in pain anymore after my visit!!!! That’s what matters
I originally gave you all 5 stars because the nursing staff was great they do deserve 5 stars. But, unfortunately you all are a unit. When 1 fail you all fail. The date of my service I provided 3 Insurance cards!!!! I felt that they may not known what to do with all three so the next day I called and told them to use 1. Reasons why is because I’ve never used the second one and the third doesn’t cover that much. But Mary in Billing claim I can’t use the two that came from the same state but have different numbers. I usually argue because I know I can but instead I said ok. I told her the two I want to be used. She still told me No I can’t use those I have to use these two! I’m steady saying no don’t do it. She gets someone else in her office to get on the on phone to insure me she knows what’s shes doing. I told her I do not want a Bill!!!! She said you are fine you want recieve a bill!!! Guess what I received on MY BIRTHDAY 🎂????? AN INVOICE FOR 1,931.00!!!! Because Mary in Billing Refused to listen. And the invoice states Self Pay No Insurance!!!! I called this morning Mary tells me WE DIDN’T HAVE THE RIGHT INSURANCE TO BEGAN WITH!!!! STOP DOING WHAT YOU ALL WANT TO DO! If a patient tell what to do JUST DO IT!!! Now I have to clean up you all mistakes on my birthday!!!! Sometimes it’s better to shut up and just listen!!!! No two cases are the same doesn’t matter how many times you have seen it or how much experience you have!!!! This mistake could’ve been avoid it if Mary would’ve just followed simple directions. You all will never reach Five stars with employees like Mary!!! Time to clean house and rehire!!! Get some fresh energetic young employees
