My boyfriend broke his hip while we were on a skiing trip up here, 5 hours from home, and he needed emergency surgery. We received excellent care here. The doctors, nurses, and the surgeon that perfomed the procedure were all excellent. They communicated with both of us the whole time, answered all of our questions before and after the procedure, and made a very scary experience feel manageable. They were so kind, and I will always be grateful. The doctor my boyfriend followed up with at home was shocked at how well the procedure was done, since he had not heard of this surgeon before, which is the only kind of shocked you'd want the doctor to be...I
Well, don't come here if you are dying. Everything was fine up until I was diagnosed and had to wait 45 minutes to be discharged and receive medication. There was so many staff members on, either wandering the halls or sitting there glued to a screen. I had to request service to even leave. Then someone promptly showed up, so I could escape!
While vacationing in the U.P with my wife my heart went into A-fib. The doctors and nurses were very professional and attentive. The entire staff was amazing, treating us like hotel guests. The facility is clean and updated.
On Saturday I visited the ER for a broken ankle and leg. I was in and out within 4 hours. During that time, I went through intake, X-rays, pain management, multiple consultations with the doctor and anesthesiologist, put under to set my broken bones, X-rayed again, monitored and discharged. I felt truly cared for and the entire staff was professional and courteous. I am very pleased with my experience and want to give a special thank you to nurse Sara. She was with me start to finish.
Competent nursing staff/tech staff, but Dr I had was a joke, the service was a joke. Unless it's life or death, keep driving and avoid this corporate medical assembly line. Don't ask them questions because nobody will be able to answer them, they'll refer you to corporate HQ in Wisconsin!
Avoid this place like the Tuberculosis Sanitarium it was before it got a face lift and a new name. They didn't call it "Last View": for nothing.
