Best experience anyone could ask for. I delivered here, and the nurses and staff were very kind and patient. I only had one doctor that was a crab, otherwise I loved everyone. The rooms are amazing! They make you feel very comfortable.
I am extremely greatful to have found Dr. Wennlund as my gynecologist at the Aurora West Medical Center. She is very intelligent, listens to my concerns, and has a great "bedside" manner which puts me at ease! I am so glad I can stop searching for the right doctor!! Thank you!!😆
On April 7thof 2017 I was admitted to the ER at West Allis Memorial Hospital because I was vomiting uncontrollably. I had been referred from an Aurora Urgent Care Clinic, which my partner had found by searching in my CCHP app. I was covered for the first hospital, and I was told that I was covered for West Allis Aurora Hospital. When we came in, despite the fact that I was vomiting into a bucket, they took my insurance card and told me I was covered and would be seen immediately. When I got to my room, they took blood samples and immediately gave me an IV with fluids. During this time, a woman with a movable payment station rolled up and again took my insurance card, as well as my ID. At this time, I was told that my copay would be a mere $100 dollars and was billed for the $100 copay on the spot. She ran my card, she gave me a receipt and walked away, and my boyfriend and I mused together about how impressed we were by the simple, affordable payment process offered at the Aurora Emergency Room. Mind you, I was told that my insurance wasaccepted, both when I was at Aurora Urgent Care and when I arrived at West Allis Hospital. After receiving the results of my blood test and some additional fluids, I was released from the hospital. On the way out to the car, we again discussed what a simple process it had been, saying that if I am ever in that situation in the future at least we know that we have a great, affordable hospital nearby. When I received a notice from CCHP saying that I would be charged over $3,226.28 for the hospital service and that my insurance did not take Aurora, I was shocked. The sole reason that we drove so far and chose to go with an Aurora hospital over the ones closer to home, was that Aurora claimed to take my insurance. This was the sole reason that in my tenuous state of health we still made the trip. In addition, I have received a bill from Anna G Perino for $1,124.00 for the service I received. Upon calling Ermed SC today I was told that this is a bill from the “private provider.” I was not notified or forewarned that a private provider was providing service. I was completely cognizant and mobile throughout service and would have opted out had I been told that there would be any fee over my $100 insurance copay. I was dismayed upon receiving the letter and immediately called Aurora, who said that I would have to talk to my insurance provider about the charge. When I called CCHP, I was told that not only was I not insured for that particular hospital, that CCHP did not cover Aurora anywhere and that I had been grossly misinformed. I was told that my copay for an emergency room visit was $2,000 and that I could have located that information had I read the book-sized packet that was sent to my front door once I registered for CCHP insurance. I have received multiple bills for the service I was told would cost me only $100. My partner witnessed my being told that West Allis Medical Center took my insurance, as well as my paying the copay when admissions came to my hospital room to collect. We are both upstanding citizens being significantly wronged by West Allis Medical Center and affiliates. I would have never agreed to service had I known that it would ruin me financially, or had I been provided with the right information. When I called West Allis Memorial Hospital I was given an email address for a Juana Martinez, to who I sent this appeal on Tuesday, August 21st of 2018. The response I received was that my account was sent to collections.
Staff friendly especially night staff. Informative Doctors. Horrible environment...my father admitted with heart condition and his room is at 80 degrees. When asked for relief was told nothing they can do. Asked for janitorial services to look...wouldn't request. I had to get ice for my parents to try to help. My understanding hospital rooms are to be cool to keep from encouraging germs.
I broke my elbow and had to have surgery. They said that they would make sure that physical & occupational therapy would get me ready to go home but they lied to me All they did was make sure I could walk up the stairs They did absolutely nothing to help me with taking care of myself. They sent me home and I can't even open any food packages. I can't even feed myself or wash myself. I am hungry and in pain and nobody offered even transitional care. I am 61 years old and I live alone. They know I'm alone and can't even feed myself. I wish I had died instead of this.
I called and asked for help and they hung up on me because I cried
