I recently had the worst experience as a new staff at Banner Desert Medical staff. The main manager that hired me was a very nice and professional , caring individual. The main manager was on vacation. However, there was this assigned manager(Missy) who was so rude from the very first day. Initially, she didnt even give me my schedule even after contacting her several times. After I got to the unit, she was showing bossy, intimidating, discriminatory behavior. She asked me to do a procedure that was not even according to the policy. The preceptors I got except one travelling nurse were also very rude, backstabbing, uncooperative. This is a true example of "Nurses eating their young". Its my experience from a very good hospital. I wish no new nurses go through such similar experiences.

I brought my sister in to be treated for some severe tooth pain she’s been experiencing. The nursing staff proved themselves to be nothing more than unprofessional and nonchalant. They did little to attempt to understand the severity of her pain and failed to offer effective treatment options, despite her knowledge of what has worked in the past and what has not. She ended up leaving the ER in more pain than when she had entered and now we’re on our own attempting to ease her pain with home remedies. If you want to be taken seriously and feel cared for and understood, do not go to this ER! Thanks for wasting our time.

I am genuinely, absolutely, incredibly dumbfounded at this hospitals reviews. I brought my son, who is now almost seven, here when he was an infant and throwing up. I brought my daughter here at 2 weeks when she had a fever and she was admitted for 2 days. I brought my son here again when he needed stitches last year, and my dad 3 weeks ago for stitches as well. Today Dad was back and had to be admitted for a few days. I just left and I spent the whole drive home wondering why the hell this hospital has so many negative reviews when every single time I have brought my family here the nurses have gone above and beyond to help. They helped calm my son down from a meltdown and a nurse went out of his way to help me do so, my son has Aspergers and is very strong. They were amazing with my daughter, and phenomenal with my dad. Yeah, the wait times are long. People get sick and they go to the hospital. Many people go to the ER for things they should be going to urgent care for. That clogs it up. The doctors and nurses are doing the best they can while busting at the seams with a bunch of grumpy sick or in pain patients. Nurses and Doctors have one of the most thankless jobs. Maybe you should be kind, and you will get kindness in return. 🖤

This place is literal garbage! I volunteer as a patient care advocate. I frequent these facilities to investigate poor patient care. Dozens of unanswered call lights per tower per floor, nurses that have no idea about their patients, doctors rejecting higher level of care due to egos and money. All of this is commonplace with this facility. I personally have started going further away to go to Dignity facilities, as I have with my loved ones. Do not come here. I wouldn’t seek help here if I was dying on their doorstep.

My boyfriend was in the hospital and the doctors and nurses were amazing with him. He is a difficult patient but they helped him anyway they could. They were very professional an kept me informed of his prognosis. The only thing I can say is thank you to the staff in the ICU and ER. And dont believe everything you read. The nurses in the ER were very nice and patient with him. Being a nurse is an amazing job. I appreciate all that you do. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
