Recently we had a family member in for a few weeks and most of the staff were amazing. We had a few issues with finding out information but I knew if I got one of the good staff I was in for a good day.

To name a few good ones I would have to say that Abigail, Robert, Bethany and Cassy were very helpful. I tried not to be in their way and they never seemed to mind my asking tons of questions.

I honestly believe if it hadn't been for this hospital my mother would not have made it. I am grateful for her second chance. Thank you all for what you've done for my family.

Went to the emergency room.
3 hours to get to a room.
6 people that came in after me was able to be shown to their room sooner because this hospital is not on a first come first serve but a whose room gets cleaned faster. Guess I was asigned to the unlucky room.
4hrs in this adventure and I finally meet my doctor. Real nice guy. Honestly. Too bad I wouldn't see him for another 3hrs and still counting.
I am so glad I am not dying...well who knows since my doctor has forgotten about me.

*Update:
Doctor decided to grace us with his presence to announce that he was unable to determine what is the cause. Well worth the 9 hours of my life.

All joking aside. I wouldn't bring my dog here.

My daughter was born here in March 2018. From the husband/father perspective Banner did a great job of taking care of my wife and daughter through the whole birthing process. The rooms were comfortable and the nurses were very friendly and helpful, not just to my wife, but to me as well as a new dad. They checked on my wife regularly, as they should and were willing to do a little extra if needed.

My only issue I initially had, which was correctly quickly, was they initially put my wife's ex-surname on the paperwork. I was very concerned initially they would put my daughter's last name as her ex-husband's last name. We were also a little upset that my wife's sister's kids could not come to see their new niece, and while there was hospital policy on it, it wasn't clearly indicated or explained the best when it was visible.

Additionally, while waiting, my sister-in-laws kids got a little rambunctious, which I can understand being an issue. My sister-in-law got her kids to quiet down, but for whatever reason, was then approached a 2nd time roughly 20-30 mins after they already started behaving (talking in no more than a whisper) and were asked to leave by hospital staff.

I'm giving them 4-stars on the merit of medical and direct patient treatment which is obviously the important bit. But when it comes to patient families and administrative paperwork, Banner could use some focus in that area.

My father suffered cardiac arrest and spent a coupe of weeks here in the ICU. It took a few days to have him registered as himself and not a John Doe, however that is my only complaint.

They undoubtedly saved his life and my father's recovery has been nothing short of tremendous. The nurses are so amazingly attentive and considerate, that I may be in love with half of them.

Also to note, their cafeteria is pretty good and they have 24 hr visiting (exept ICU closes 7 to 830 every 12hrs for shift changes). Since I work crazy hours, they've been super accommodating and I've only been made to wait during shift change. The hospital also always had someone on staff to talk to, and they even got a Rabbi to talk with my dad.

If you can go to any other emergency room, PLEASE do so! I came here with extreme pain on my right side thinking it was my appendix. I laid in a bed for FIVE hours before I was taken to get any testing done, and by hour seven I had to demand to see a doctor. The lack of attention in that place was just mind boggling. Joe, my ER nurse, was fantastic and really stayed on top of things. However, everyone else couldn't be bothered. They also had people sick with the flu lining the hallways which is pretty disgusting. I took a shower as soon as I got home because I just felt so gross from being there.

Update: I emailed Dawn, and have never received any emails back.

Another Update (7/25): I’ve since gone back to this ER on several occasions for a (then) undiagnosed health problem as it’s so close to my house. The service and quality of care has been hit and miss, but it’s never been as bad as my first experience (see above). One time a doctor called me a liar and accused of me seeking pain killers which was pretty infuriating, but mostly the doctors and nurses have been great. Tests and results take forever to get done, so any trip into the ER will likely be several hours. I still come home feeling pretty gross (the hallway bathrooms are horrendously filthy).
