feedback about Baptist Hospital
We were in town for a wedding shower. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency. Fortunately we were staying close to this hospital. The EMS staff was beyond professional...even managed to make my daughter smile through the pain. The hospital was clean..the staff were quick with assessment and ordered proper testing and medical procedure!! I wish this hospital was closer to where we live. It would definitely be my first choice for treatment. Bless you all for being there when we needed you!!
My mother was airlifted from AL to Baptist after a stroke. I was So impressed with the staff that met with me to make sure I knew what was going on & what to expect. The neurosurgeon, neurologist, and palliative care team were all top notch. Mom's nursing staff in the SINU was incredible - *always* washed their hands when entering her room & popped in to say Hi, check on Mom, & give updates when we were there. (Susan is the best!!) Mom was only at Baptist one week & then transferred to another facility, but we were so spoiled by the professional & kind staff, that took such great care of our Mom, that I wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU!! I have no doubt that the initial care she received is part of the reason she's making such good progress.
Probably one of THE worst hospitals I have ever been to. The first time I went in was for seizures in which they had me sitting in a waiting room for over 5 hours, just to tell me nothing was wrong and send me home in which a week later I continued to have more seizures. Then my pregnant fiancée went in for vomiting blood, they would not let her eat, or anything, left her in a room for three hours without saying a word to her, she flatlined and still nobody came. Luckily she was able to pull herself out, but regardless, this is just an embarrassment of a health care establishment. The nurses are nice, but inattentive, and the doctor we saw once and then never again. You could get better care from a crack head on the corner.
It's not that good I went to the emergency room on February 6th they were going to give me a boot and a crutches and send me home, but here to find out later after I told them I can't walk or move my left arm and foot, after arguing with the ER staff they took X-ray of my left arm and foot and found out that the both were fracture and needed surgery. The ER staff just wanted to move me on my way like they did to other patients be hind me and in front, it sad very very sad don't trust them with your life go to another emergency room hospital, so sad
The nurses and doctors push euthanasia. The doctors have put DNR (do not resuscitate) orders in my father's and my brother's chart without informing them or our family.
Beware - If your loved one has dementia, they may decide not to treat a simple infection.
If someone comes in unconscious, an organ donation team quickly arrives.
Also beware of the so-called "angels of mercy" that enjoy terminating one's life.
