At first I thought this hospital would be terrible considering how it looks and the location, HOWEVER the staff go above and beyond! Every person we have encountered did MORE than their job required.
Even when faced with an issue with one bad apple, the apple was tossed out immediately! (completely let go)
Be sure to ask questions.
Dont expect the staff to read your mind.
They may surprise you!
Thank you for the quality of care you have provided my father.

Was employed there and this is how I was treated. Had a coworker running around saying that I was pyscho cause I am a veteran. They thought I was crazy cause I have a Polyester allergy and had to use cotton towels on my chair. I always had people watching me and telling my supervisor things that were not true. My car was broken into and they knew I left domestic violence. Lies were told about me and management believed them, anytime I would joke it was misconstrued into I was being mean. If I said nothing I was being mean. I had people talking about me cause I couldn't get the flu vaccine.
Even though I worked any hours that were needed, helped anytime I could and helped my coworkers, I was still being treated bad.
After 6 months they fired me. When they cleaned out my desk they threw away my Epi Pen.

My wife and I have had the absolute best experience imaginable delivering our daughter at Baptist. The nurses are always nice, and happy, despite working long shifts. The doctors are compassionate and very knowledgeable, and the lactation consultants were such a big help! The facility is nice and very clean/sanitary, and the security is above and beyond. Thank you Baptist for giving us such an incredible time with our daughter!

No complaints about the doctors, nurses, or staff we interacted with, but this hospital is a disaster in terms of facilities. Seriously, a good plaintiff's attorney should get over here and start raking in the cash: unlevel and uneven walking surfaces in the parking lot, a lack of restroom facilities for visitors; no private meeting rooms for physicians and next-of-kin (at least in CICU); massive columns obstructing walkways; entrances that are unnecessarily difficult to navigate; severe holes in their night time security protocols; insects and rodents living in windows to patient rooms; inability to control temperatures in rooms; windows painted shut; I could go on.

Hard to hire quality facilities managers? Unwilling to spend the money to ensure patient safety/comfort? Ineptitude? What's the reason for this?

Tried to drop a deuce just now and had to walk an entire hospital floor and Towers Floor to find an open drop sight. I bet the boss has his own drop chamber.

Me and my husband just had a child at West Florida on Sep 18th. We had our ultrasound done at baptist and after argueing with the lady that 5 months pregnant is definitely far enough along to find put what we are having she finally decided to find out. I don't know if she just didn't care at that point but she said she was 98 percent sure we were having a girl. To our surprise our son was born with all girl clothes and baby items.
