I went to the ER in March as a result of an auto accident. We were rear ended in South Carolina while we were at a complete stop on I-26 by a vehicle going about 80 mph. My head was slammed backwards so hard against the seat and then slung forward, but I was more concerned about the people that got us. They were lucky to be alive and with no injuries. Later that day, My head started hurting. Three days later it was hurting so bad that I went to the ER. When I arrived my blood pressure was 220/85. ER DR ANNETTE BELL...she needs to have her license taken away because she a joke. She said she specialized in High Blood Pressure and that "you don't have a headache with high blood pressure"... Duh... Apparently she has never had high blood pressure. I told her she needed to go back to school. She had me follow her finger, told me I had whip lash and to go see a family physician for the blood pressure. Are you kidding me??? Mine was over stroke level. She gave me a prescription of Naproxen Sodium and Methocarbamol and released me. I went upstairs to Dr Buford's office and was sent back to ER. Needless to say, I checked back in, blood pressure is now 220/95. Sat in room for over 45 minutes and she never came back to check on me. Only two patients in the ER that morning, me being one of them. I got up and walked to front and told the receptionists I was leaving and if I had a stroke, my husband would be suing this hospital. They said they could not believe she wouldn't give me anything for my blood pressure. As a result of her not doing any type x-rays, brain scans, or anything else, I have suffered several mini strokes, my equilibrium is permanently off balance, my quality of life sucks.
I had a wonderful experience at this emergency facility. I was a little nervous going after reading all the negative reviews, but the other ones in the area were further away and had worse ratings. After I walked in I was immediately taken care of. I was taken back right away and only waited about 15 minutes to be seen by the doctor. All of the employees I interacted with were very helpful and courteous. The nurse who saw me was very friendly and the doctor (I forgot his name...older with a great sense of humor) was very friendly and a great listener. He joked around with my two kids and explained everything to me and was very thorough. I was very well taken care of and was not made to feel rushed or that I was overreacting. The whole visit including blood and urinalysis, speaking with doctor, and receiving treatment only took 2 hours. I was very thankful that I had such a positive experience.
Went to ER for severe pain in lower back that radiated around to my navel. I was pacing the floor in so much pain. No one in waiting room but had to wait over 20 mins to be taken back. Once in room was put in bed...not offered a blanket, and waited over an hour in such pain I couldn't get any comfort. Doctor finally shows up tells me I need a CT scan and I finally get a pain pill and nausea tablet. CT Tech was indifferent. Came back in even more pain ...had to wait over another hour for pain shot before I could get any relief. I am one who tries to avoid the ER but in the future I will avoid this one for sure. Lack of staff and lack of empathy. I would have received better treatment elsewhere I am sure.
I went in because i had an infection in my toe due to it being smashed. Told the doctor that i was in pain and needed antibiotics. He insisted on x- rays even though i told him it wasnt broke. Kept me there for 3 hours in pain. Finaly gave me a trimadol and a script for antibiotics. 10 days later i get a 1200 dollar bill. Then a couple days after that i get a radiology bill for 700. Then the Drs. bill for 591. Who is the real drug dealer?
Great staff and er doctor; they were so nice.
