My husband is here for ultrasound biopsy. I'm in the radiology waiting room. There is a registration area right next to the waiting room. I can hear everything being asked of the patients. Name, social, diagnosis, insurance info, employer info, what tests they are having done, etc.... This is so against HIPPA regulations!!
Extremely disappointed in the nursing staff because of the lack of compassion and sympathy. I get that hospitals have their busy nights but that is no excuse to treat patients and their families with disrespect. My grandpa was taken in due to chest pains and what we and the paramedics suspected to be as a heart attack. Two whole hours after being in the emergency room we politely asked the nurse when the doctor would be in. Getting a response back of “there are sick patients here and he will be in when he can.” OBVIOUSLY. Following up that comment she tried telling us we were not there for two hours. As a health care provider, no matter what field or practice, kind words and voices NEED to be used. No reason to be rude or nasty to patients. Every patient is there for their own reasons but every patient there MATTERS. The nursing staff needs to be talked to or re taught what bedside manners are!!
Trina, Kenny and the ER doctor were great. My sister had gallbladder problems and they were courteous, sweet and very caring. They kept us updated and listened/answered every question. I so appreciate them.
They quility of service i got was great when the understaffed nurses got to me. The one star is becous there billing depart is the worst i have ever delt with. I don't care if i am having a heart attack i will not go back there. Both times i have been there they kept sending me the bill and not sending it to my insurance. Every time a called them they would say it was fixed but a few weeks later i would get the same bill in the mail. Now in order to get this billing problem fixed i had to do all the leg work for them. The only way it got fixed both times was becous i had my insurance company do a 3 way call with them. Now it has been over 6 months since i was there and about once a month i get a small bill from them for some thing. Now when i was there the day i was supposed to be released in the morning around 7am at 5 pm i had to request to be dismissed and it still took till 7pm for that to happen. I think it was so they could change my for another night
Put simply, the E.R. Sucks. I had to visit while I was in town for work and they are SLOW! You won’t see a doctor for an hour or more after they take you back. The staff is rude and the place looks dingy and run down.
