Arrived at hospital around 10:30 with a very puffy blackened eye lid. Getting worse by the minute. Waited for registration in "Fast Track" for 1/2 hr.. After registration waited another 1/2 hour in waiting room. Finally called back by nurse and had to wait for him to take back another patient at the same time. This patient was very sick. She had difficulty walking back. After being checked out by nurse, he asked if I needed anything. I said yes I could use a drink of water. After an hr of waiting for the drink I went out to find the nurse. He said he would be right there. Waited another 1 and 1/2 hr for PA or DR to come in. NO ONE CAME IN. Finally I walked out. Told the 4 people at computers to tell nurse that I was leaving and they said very casually "OK we will tell him". Really???? No concern at all for anyone's well being.
If I was not a prioritiy then tell me up front. I wasted my time and kept a bed from going to another sick patient. Still don't have a clue what is wrong with my eye.
Great with professionalism no complaints. I appreciate their services.
If you value your life and can get anywhere else avoid this hospital.
I have had three interactions with this hospital and all were filled we with gross incompetence. They labeled my wife with wrong wristband info. (another patient). Could have killed her as she has med allergies.
I'm sure there are good people there, but this place sucks!
The worst hospital! We brought our 5 year old with severe abdominal pain and no one cared. We waited for 3 h and left without help. Every time we asked how much longer, they said that she was not an emergency. How would they know, if no one took time to talk to us. Not even one person stopped by her room to ask if her pain is getting worse.
I was at the ER a year ago. Excellent care!. I am thankful to all the nurses, techs and doctors who took care of me. Bayhealth rocks!!!!
