Pharmacy in hospital is pathetic to say the least..... my 2 week old daughter had to wait 3 hours and four phone calls from nurse to only have them tell nurse on the forth call that they were making the antibiotics for her now.... the nurses have been great and compassionate but unacceptable for pharmacy to get antibiotics to nurses to give to my daughter 3 hours late..... this hospital needs to really get there stuff together cause if her next one late THE BOARD AND MANAGEMENT WILL BE GETTING EAR FULL....

Thanks concerned parent

After many months of being in and out of the hospital, physical therapy, and the tranquility of just being home, darkness once again crept into my soul. Something was wrong, confusion,  an inability to order thoughts or speech.
That which helps to make me whole, the woman who is the best part of my heart and soul, my wife and bestest friend is in trouble!
I called upon the Doctors at Baystate once again. I called one of Cindy's sisters and also a dear cousin.
What is a Miracle
That which gives us the ability to have very highly educated Doctors, Nurses, and all of the staff to help treat and console.
Family that runs to help and also lends the most valuable resource needed, emotional support.
A cousin who is a retired nurse and along with Cindy's sister, is able to ensure that treatment is correct.
A cousin who stayed with Cindy almost non-stop and whom was there when Cindy started to awake.
What is a Miracle
Rushing to the side of your love and hearing them say hello, family, Doctors, Nurses, our Church, Faith, and Love.
What is a Miracle
It was always right in front of us, all of the time. It was every step, every Doctor, every family member, the Church, and those that prayed and those that wished us the best.
What is a Miracle

We arrived at 10 AM in the ER for abdominal pain. From there it took 12 hours for two people to palpitate the abdomen and then complete an ultrasound. That is pathetic!!! Finally decided to operate near midnight. The actual operation didn't take place until the next day in the afternoon. And what was the operation you ask, a simple appendectomy. The staff was courteous, kind, wonderful . The wait time is hideous!

I birthed four children at Baystate Medical Wesson Women's. I always had good experiences and up until now, I never thought of going anywhere else to have my children. I left a great Ob/ Gyn practice because they didn't deliver at Baystate Wesson. I thought it would be best to have my last child there. I was wrong!

1. It's no longer Maternity hospital, it's a medical school. They put what ever money and/or incentive they may be getting for having student there over the care, needs and wants of their patients.
2. Your rights and their own bylaws are ignored. They asked us about our wishes and concerns, then they ignored everything we said.
3. Do not show any concern for your care or attempt to make any complaints. There will be retaliation.
4. We witnessed and experienced high school like gossip and catty division that leaked into our experience there.
5. I was saddened to see and experience some of the nurses caring for babies even display these high school like tendencies. They showed favoritism to some babies and the other babies in their care got much less. My newborn experienced mistreatment and I might say abuse there, because of some of these reasons and more.
6. I feel the hospital attempted to keep my baby there for longer than what would be justifiable, for reasons that would benefit the hospital and not my newborn. After we left there, l spoke with a friend who had studied there and worked there not long ago. I was told that, depending on ones insurance, the hospital has a history of finding as many ways to bill your insurance as possible and might keep patients longer and test more than needed.
My family is saddened and traumatized by our experiences there. I will no longer recommend this hospital. I wish there were more choices in the area.

My experience with talking to the billing people was rude, to say the last person I spoke to, your lucky I dont remember the name, but I won't tolerate disrespect. Baystate medical, learn to teach your staff to speak respectively to patients on call. I was trying to get my son's bills handled and I had asked and said can you guys make sure it's updated to have his bills go through insurance, she said I can do that now yes but I won't guarantee that in the future. I'm not asking for more than I am now. She wanted to take a long pause and say okay have a good day bye in a rude tone, I hung up. I've been getting bills , I was confirming to see if possible to make arrangements, guess I was at fault. Poor service and disrespect.
