Amazing facility with an overall friendly, knowledgeable and talented staff. The Hospital also provides a great valet service strictly for the ease of the patient and their families. As of 2019, BID Hospital seems to be expanding in size and services on a regular basis but somehow seems to maintain that down home feeling that they really, truly care about their patients.

I went in for a basic physical. They had blood work taken right in their office. I didn’t request it. Eight months later I received a bill for $273.90 of lab work. I actually get more up front billing from my Honda dealer, who always tells me ahead of time what new tires will cost me if I happened to go in for a transmission. Then they let me decide. But in this case Beth Deaconess surprised me with a bill eight months later, and when I called them, and my insurance who told me to talk to Beth Deaconess about putting this in as preventative, Beth Deaconess stuck with the claim that this was “diagnostic” and not “preventative” so I have to pay. If you believe basic blood work is not part of your physical, then this is the place for you. But if you appreciate not receiving a nice 273.90 surprise eight months later, avoid this place.

No one doing triage with patients waiting for at least half an hour. One elderly man with blood on his shirt, pants, and on a towel. Stomach getting bigger as he sits patiently.

Horrible experience never had such bad experience. Don’t go there even if you feel like you will dieZ they don’t care anyway

Frankly, I’m at a loss to explain bad reviews of the people who work at the hospital. I have gone to the Cardiac Care Center for years, and they have been nothing but wonderful, friendly, concerned about my health and wellbeing. One overnight stay resulted in a lot of unnecessary waiting, but I handled it; I assume that, like all health personnel, they are overworked and understaffed, but I never had a problem with anyone being anything but unfailingly pleasant. My cardiologist is the best of the many I have seen over my lifetime. She’s collaborative in her approach and is meticulous in addressing my concerns and problems. She patiently answers all of my questions. Ditto my neurologist. I go out of my way to come here for my medical care.
