The average ER wait is 3-4 hours even without visible people in the waiting room. My boyfriend's step father died in surgery, went in for a constricted hernia and came out brain dead. The only reason to go to this place is if you have no place else to go, and it is your last resort.

My daughter went to the ER department for chest heaviness and shortness of breath. She had blood work performed which showed an abnormal d dimer. A follow up CT was performed. The physician DID NOT return to her room to discuss CT results. A nurse was sent in to discharge her and he said her CT was normal. I feel like the doctor should have come back and assessed her arms and legs for any swelling redness or tenderness. Very disappointing.

Mom was admitted to Blessing for pneumonia under the care of Doctor Adam Rayburn and was treated by the nursing staff on 3N. I kept informing the doctor and nursing staff that my mom had the symptoms of a blood clot, which they ignored. Mom died of a blood clot in her lungs.

By far the most caring hospital I've ever experienced. The staff were attentive, kind, and above all caring. Hospitals like Barnes Jewish need to take lessons from y'all. Thanks Blessing Hospital of Quincy.
