feedback about Bon Secours St Francis Medical Center
I would give 5 stars but the room smelled like urine.
On a positive note **My nurse was super sweet and attentive. The establishment is beautiful/ mosaic. I will deliver here soon but will surely bring some cleaning supplies to curb my OCD 😣
This review is directly to the outpatient infusion center, or OPIC, at St. Francis Hosp. I have been going here for treatment as part of my history of breast cancer and I have been disappointed on several occasions, including today. The front staff changes all the time and they continue to have incompetent people behind the desk. The access is undesirable for working individuals, with their last appointment at 4pm. I had a 4pm appointment today and was rescheduled because the person behind the desk was too lazy to enter my new insurance info into the system. I did not have my physical card but I had all the information available for them to use (picture of the front and back of my card). I wanted to make sure it was on file because I did not want a huge bill after my injection because it wasn't entered into my account. She looked so confused and lost and clearly did not know how to troubleshoot anything. I went home (since I live 5 minutes away) and literally returned at 4:15 to provide my new card for my later appointment and they had closed....at 4:15! I met a nurse as she was walking out the door and simply said 'sorry, maybe you can call and provide the info'. I explained that I had the info the first time I came in. So much for access Bon Secours Mercy Health!! Do they even work a full 8 hour day??? I am so frustrated because good customer service is so hard to find these days and it surely hasn't been found here at the front desk (on several occasions). If it wasn't for me doing my part to take care of my health, I definitely wouldn't come back to this place.
I gave birth here last year in May. I love the fact that they have bed in labor room so my husband can stay the night with me :) everything is fine but my first nurse I don’t know what’s her last name is but something sound Italian. Anyway when I get there she seem not to care for me I think because I look young, she talked back to me and keep in mind I was in labor and I had bad contraction instead of calming me down and try to help me she was being very rude and unprofessional. I asked for water, she told me to “hold on let me put information in” I was like 6-7 centimeters open and I still didn’t get my water. The thing that made me mad was when she try to put IV for me. I told her I am scared of needles and she was like but “you have a tattoos” reallly? That’s what you have to say? As a nurse you supposed to support me have me feel better emotionally and physically and I didn’t say anything to her I was try to calm even though I was frustrated with her and in her pain. It was just horrible I didn’t like it. Despite horrible environment with my first nurse (like super HORRIBLE to the point it makes me cry because of her words) I still like this place and every NURSE is nice to me especially Landyn. They’re very caring and say nice stuff to me I wish I could remember their names. What I’m saying is that just because you run into bad situations don’t let one bad apple spoil the rest and I love Dr. Love so muchhh
The company as a whole has changed over the last few years. Would not recommend visiting or working here if you are a minority who is looking for growth and development. There is a buddy buddy system here where many potential hires are overlooked and under paid if actually hired. Other surrounding healthcare companies pay higher per hour. Spent years there as a dedicated employee only to be forced to resign out of fear of retaliation when I spoke up about discrimination. Would not recommend visiting as a employee or patient.
I just went through a sedated MRI at Saint Francis Medical center with the best group of people from the Radiology Department. The great nurse that assisted me was Bonnie D. What a wonderful and very personable lady, always checking on me to make sure that I'm as comfortable as I can be.
I have nothing but the best to say about this nice place.
