They leave you on hold when you call to try and speak to a patient. 15 minutes waiting so far. No one comes back to the phone. Called back and was informed patient was not yet in room. I guess the first person is apperently useless and was nust going to leave me on hold until i hung up. I suppose it depends who answers the phone because when i called back the other person was very helpful. I wish i knew the name of the first incompetent person. I would file a complaint with the hospital. Just as an update to the review I wrote yesterday I have been trying to contact my sister who is a patient in this Hospital and they have been telling me that they were hooking me up to the room and no one was answering and now I'm finding out that the phone was broken. I would advise voiding his Hospital if possible. There are plenty of other hospitals on Long Island in the area. Apparently this place is not any good from the experience I have had them for the last two days. And based on many of the reviews I see and hear there are many issues with this Hospital
Was recently admitted to the hospital after being in a car accident. The staff recognized how much pain i was in and responded quickly to pain control and ordering tests (obviously this is an ER and when I say quick i genrally mean within an hour). They acted very quickly and Ran all the tests they possibly could. Being in a hospital it can take forever to be seen and taken care of and as busy as they were most of the staff tended to me as if I was their only patient. Very happy with my experience during my stay.
the care that my husband received while at the hospital was excellent from the Nurses on step down, Kim, Linda and the cna Michael, Irma was wonderful. He was transferred to room 423B and the Nurses there Angela,Yvette and the cna Sylvia and Eve were also wonderful. I was at the hospital every day making sure that my husband was doing well. I arrived about 8am til 5:30 just making sure was comfortable.I do have a complaint and I'm hoping that Robert Davis, Nursing Director will call me
and address my problem. Overall I'm happy with the care from all the Doctor and Nursing with the care that my husband received and I would continue to come to Long Island community if needed.
My dad went to this hospital a week ago today. It started with him not being able to breath, and being rushed to the ER by ambulance. They immediately started to care for him as soon as they arrived. We were only in the ER for 4 hours until they brought him up to a room to stay for a couple of days. They found that he had pneumonia pretty quickly and did everything to treat it. The nurses, and doctors where phenomenal with treating him and were VERY respectful, and informative. He came home Monday and is recovering well!
Gonna be sitting in the bed for hours. You could pass out right there and no one would notice. Lack of privacy. Nurses/Doctors doesn’t care to find out what’s the problem. You could just tell em that you’re dizzy and they’ll just give you a painkiller 😑 instead of finding out what’s th actually cause of you being dizzy.
