Recently, my father was rushed to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue from Affinity Nursing and Rehab in bad shape, thanks to the apparent lack of medical care he received. In the ER he was carefully assessed by the doctors, who quickly started his treatment. "Dr Sam"was very compassionate and kind to my family, as well as a remarkable doctor. The doctors worked together to diagnose Dad and quickly stabilize him. He was put on the Step Down unit and we found all the staff to be attentive, caring, and exceptional. We can't believe the quality of care my father received in this unit. Special thanks to nurse Ryan, who checked in with Dad even when he was working on another unit. They treated him with the respect a 91 year old deserves. Every doctor treating Dad was amazing to him and to us. ICU nurses go above and beyond as well. Never more than 2 steps away and concerned with the comfort of each patient and family member. Dedicated is the word I use to describe them. I am happy to see the change in this hospital.

Short and to the point would give zero if possible Stay far away!!!!!!! I have nothing but nice things to say about the nursing staff It’s everything else ER Doc and staff Misdiagnosed edit things to his chart that wasn’t true. social worker well what I really wanna say I can’t . doctor on the floor nonexistent leaves us with a resident who tells us five different things every time we see them too much else to list don’t go there unless you really have to

I am scoring this based just on the moral the low spirit like zombie type AURA felt by some staff enough that it downplays the few that really have compassion...too many take their job like it's only for means too pay bills can't wait too clocllib

Every staff member in ICU, Stepdown unit, and telemetry unit was extremely nice to me. The food was always hot and great when served to me. The rooms were kept cleaned. I would recommend this hospital to anyone if they live close by.

Amazing hospital and staff. Everyone is really friendly and professional. This hospital didn’t have a great reputation before, but now they are really on top of their game.
