Checked in to the er at 4am this morning. Very professional! The 3rd shift doctor will give it to you straight. He prescribed me medications that is fixing my issues as we speak! I've been dealing with this for months and just kept getting shipped out the door by doctors everywhere else saying "stay hydrated". Also this place has a higher rating than all of the surrounding hospitals for a reason! This will be my go to place from now on. Thanks for the work you staff members put in!

I went in Monday night with sever abdominal pain and every single person I interacted with was compassionate and very kind to me and to the doctor and nurses on the surgical unit thank you so very much for the wonderful care you gave me during my 2 day stay I was very scared because of my past medical history and everyone was very sympathetic and caring to my needs. I would highly recommend this facility for there top notch care!

First of all. This review is not a reflection of clinical staff as all experiences have been positive. This review is in reference to their billing department. Immensely disorganized and difficult to contact. When I was able to speak with someone they were unable to provide me with any information. I was billed multiple times for the same procedure. I paid the balance and received a bill for the same procedure of the same balance. They were once again unable to provide ANY information regarding this. I will not be using CVMC again due to this reason. It’s poor business practice.

I wanted to take a second to share that I had an amazing experience today in Day Surgery. Deb was our nurse. My son had a very successful IV start prior to receiving an MRI that required contrast. Deb took time to include him on every part of the process, even letting him participate in cleaning off the area. She had him laughing and before he even realized, his IV was in and she was wrapping him up. He recently had an IV started in Charlotte where the first stick was unsuccessful and the second was difficult. With both sticks and the removal, he nearly fainted. Unfortunately, this experience lead him to have high anxiety when he found out he had to have another IV started. I’m hoping he doesn’t have to have another anytime soon, but he’s already said that if he has to have one, he wants to come back to Catawba. You made it so much easier for him. We also had an extremely positive experience in MRI. The staff allowed me to join my son in the room. We were prepared to have anesthesia if necessary to get through the MRI, but were hoping to avoid it. Allowing me in the room along with some patience and coaching from the technician helped us to complete the exam successfully without anesthesia. Thank you so much for the special care you take with your patients. It makes me proud to have such a great hospital in our community. The quality and patient experience that you work so hard to achieve was certainly visible during our brief stay at CVMC.

My experience with the nursing staff was great!! My experience with the doctor was totally different. I didnt feel like he cared if I lived or died. Once my procedure was complete I never saw or heard anything from him again. The billing department was no better. Just a bad experience all-around except for wonderful nurses. I will never go to this hospital as a patient again.
