Nancy

i have heard many negative comments about Centerpoint Hospital. However this hospital is where my doctor does surgeries. I did have major surgery at Centerpoint Hospital and I have to say how wonderful the staff is. The check in was fantastic. My nursing staff was fabulous. The anesthesiologists was awesome. My surgeon is the best. All of the staff get the five stars. I would definitely recommend this hospital.

Took my daughter to ER while she was being seen I immediately became ill. They briskly checked me in took vitals ran test gave me fluids and I started feeling better. Thank you Centerpoint for your quick acting and kind staff. You are awesome!

The ER was good. Was seen fast. The nurse were great at responding to my needs. But when I was discharged I had some issues. First off, the doctor never came to see me before I left to give me a diagnosis. Secondly, the doctor wrote a script for a medicine 2 pharmacies had never heard of. When the pharmacies tried to call the doctor, he didn't return phone calls. This was for anti -seizure meds, so it was pretty important. we ended up having to go back to the hospital the next day and have someone in the ER find the doctor to rewrite the prescription.

Dr. Ballard is great. The nursing staff was fantastic. My complaint is with the check in process. I was told I needed to pay over $3500 up front. It would have been really nice if someone had told me that before hand & also when I checked out I was given defective Teds hose.

If i could give them zero stars I would. The other night my mother went into the ER with severe abdominal pain. My mother suffers from a severe hiatel hernia. Severe being that it is the size of a grapefruit if not larger by now. My mother gave her information to the front desk (she has insurance) which she was informed to take a seat and wait. She waited and waited and waited, oh and waited some more, all the while showing significant discomfort and pain, hell it was so bad that other patients were going to the front desk asking if she was ever going to be helped, the only attention my mother received was concerning where she had parked her car. They were so extremely concerned about this that my mother literally threw them the keys and said if it's in the wrong spot please move it as she physically felt she could not.. They never moved her car, she was never seen by the Dr or nurse. She finally threw in the towel and hobbled out of the ER where she somehow managed to get to another hospital. I can't believe this is how you treat people. What would she have had to do in order for you to see her and take her seriously?
