Went in to the ER because I couldn't hear. The incompetence of the staff to recommend I needed special treatment then proceed to remove ear wax, a simple procedure that requires no emergency was beyond reprehensible. The treatment was painful, disorienting, and required several hours, enough so, that I declined the second ear to get the hell out of there. They later billed for $5621... for ear wax removal. Let that sink in.
Went to a local urgent care the next morning: in and out around an hour, no pain, no disorientation, at a grand total of $250.
They are a model example of what is wrong with health care in the US. Get them in and start the money meter. If you do get stuck going here and you aren't dying, make sure someone goes over potential costs or gives sound medical advice and options for treatment (including informing patients that their ailment isn't critical and can be served at cheaper clinics). Avoid ERs in general if you can, but avoid this place altogether, incompetent staff make this place a scam.
