I’d definitely recommend using this Emergency Room if you’re able to choose which Hospital you go to. Being in the ER is never a fun experience, however, my ER trip was surely better than it could have been thanks to this Hospital & amazing staff. The Nurse who got my Vitals and took me back to the room (Very kind older Lady with glasses) and my Nurse LISA were both very Professional and super compassionate as well. My Doctor, DR. ERIC K. was professional, meticulous & caring. They made things less miserable which was much appreciated! I think the staff (mostly) seem to be professional, kind and like they want to be working at this hospital. They seem to genuinely care about the well-being of their patients. If I have to go to the ER again in the future I’ll definitely choose to come to this location. The only reason I’m taking off a star is because the staff at the front desk in the waiting room area were very rude, idk why but who knows. ‍♀️

My mom was transferred here from the St. Francis ER and they were able to do a surgery the next morning. She has been there several days now, and I've been very impressed with the overall friendliness in the building. One gentleman went out of his way to guide me to her pre-op room. I've had multiple people stop to ask me if I needed help, the nurses have been extremely friendly and gentle, and she is getting the appropriate treatment, a daily shower, etc. Overall I've been impressed, the cafeteria isn't terrible and I don't get the feeling that I'm constantly in the way or not supposed to be there. The staff seems knowledgeable and has been making the right decisions to keep her alive. My mom has also been greatly comforted by the presence of the chaplain.

If I could give no stars I would! This is a joke of a hospital. They have to clue how to treat people with dignity and kindness. My sister has a bleeding brain tumor and they continue to treat her so badly because she acts confused and out of it. They are awful! She has to call me at 330 am crying! Never again will my go here. Also trying to get someone to address you concerns almost impossible to do!

Horrible Horrible place. if you break your leg, you're better off using a few sticks and duct tape. If you go to this hospital... you better have a six figure salary or you'll be ruined. I had a concussion and they billed me 10k!!!!!! TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! im a full time student and work part time to put myself through schooling and this financially ruined me. Keep in mind i was in the hospital for a total of 6 hours.... which is just shy of 50 cents PER SECOND!! would leave zero stars if i could.

My wife had an outpatient procedure done today, and initially we were apprehensive as to what to expect. We found that Penrose Hospital is truly a first rate facility. The doctor and the nurses in the Radiology Department were caring, compassionate, thorough, and highly professional. They took the time to explain the procedure and to provide us with instructions and contact information for any post procedure questions or issues that we may have. Colorado Springs is fortunate to have this medical facility and Penrose is fortunate to have such great doctor and nursing staff in its Radiology Department.
