The surgery rooms were not very clean nor was some equipment like the bp cuff. The anesthesiologist was not on time and phone calls had to be made. Took me waiting 2 hours for a 15 minute surgery. The Dr seemed to know what he was doing and the nurses were nice but it needs to be cleaned better and people need to show up on time
I thought Charevoix was a good hospital. It depends on what Dr. Is there. There are alot of good Dr.s there. My last visit, I had Dr. brown. She did absolutely nothing for me! She was very rude and arguementive. She did not find out was wrong and she really didn't care. She came in with an attitude, wasn't there very long and never came back!Prior to that I was admitted for something and they did not do the correct things and they ended up intubating me and I aspirated and they sent me to Petoskey hospital, because they have no ICU, which I was unaware of! So because if their mistake, I ended up being in a coma for 30 days and I had pneomia and was in very bad shape and in a ventitalar. Almost did not survive! And in top of all of that I now owe them a to of money! We moved to this town originally because of the hosoital and the ICU for our severally handicapped daughter. I am going to be moving as soon as I can. I do not like Charlevoux hospital or Petoskey hospital
This is extremely important for anyone visiting this hospital to read. A while back when I was 5 or 6, they treated me horribly here. They miscalculated and "had" to do surgery on my throat, when it wasn't even something I needed surgery for. They didn't give me enough anesthetic to keep me from feeling anything, so I couldn't move or tell them I felt every cut and tube. Then, when I was finally able to move again, I couldn't say anything about it because nobody would believe me. I was freaking out though, because I was traumatized, and when I was finally able to move again, they were trying to put an IV that fell out (which is already bad enough since they should stay in the vein) back in, and I started freaking out about it. The doctor got upset at me for moving and shoved the IV back into my vein, puncturing it and causing them to have to do a few surgeries on my wrist, which I was also awake for because I didn't get enough anesthetic once again. They said I could leave that night and I wasn't released for 2 weeks, which was extremely unreasonable. So please don't go to this hospital, I really don't want any of this happening to anyone else. This was traumitizing, especially since I was so young.
3 hours waiting to be admitted. Not another patient in sight. 4 Staff were pretty busy doing house keeping and talking about vacations and pictures. Got an IV when we came to the ER, drained it. Then out of nowhere nurse comes with another IV. Then admission person shows we sign papers...still crickets! We must need bed 26 in a 25 bed hospital!!! Nurses have personality of stumps! Not impressed at all!
I was here went to urgent care and Dr brown mistreated me I would die before I went back to this hospital horrible care treatment poor communication and just plain ignorant and cruel if you wanna be treated bad go here
