Thankful for all the laughter with the Dietary department. The always brought on a welcome smile with their three meal services. Customer care was beyond what you could have imagined. The nursing department was awesome an amazing with their delivery of medication taking care of my husband was the best of the best.
Thank you you for all of housekeeping staff that made our stay 5 star clean neat and safe lovely individual to keep your spirits high very pleasant. All though we had an 8 day stay over all we had 5 star services each day!!
I was admitted after my spinal cord stimulator became infected, and the care from all the staff was out of this world. From the nurses to the house keeping everyone had encouraging words and a positive attitude. Im convinced my recover was quicker because of the positive vibes from everyone.
One of the worst racist, discriminating, non caring and rudest staff including the doctors I have ever visited and it's every time I go there to be seen. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone especially African Americans they are very quick to label us blacks as pain medicine seekers.
I’m writing this from the hospital and cannot wait to be discharged.
Being a patient at Coliseum Northside is akin to being a prisoner of a Soviet Gulag for the following reasons:
1) Lack of urgency. Lots of chatter and laughter at all hours from staff. Not very responsive. A short wait is twenty minutes
2) Forget talking to your doctor and developing a holistic get well plan, I’ve been trying to talk to a doc since yesterday. In my brief chat with Doc, I was talked at and down by both that I’ve briefly seen.
3) Supposedly, my condition is “life threatening,” and no liquids or food (literally IV only is allowed), yet I’ve had zero follow through or visits by surgeon or doctor.. I’m guessing it’s not so critical.
4) I literally was told buy staff that i would take my blood pressure medication and neurontin on “hospital time “ not my regular doesage time. Needless to say my BP was high this morning. Wonder how that helped my dangerous condition?
The ER was the complete opposite, and the supervising RNs are pretty good.but overall, I hope this review expedites my escape to a far more communicative and supportive medical staff.
UPDATE: I have requested to see a doctor since 0630. That’s 4 hours and counting! Terrible....down to one star.
FINAL UPDATE: @1110, had nice consult with Doc. I will upgrade to 3 stars based on final resolution and outstanding ER
Very friendly and professional staff. The place is comfortable and they take their time with care and triage. You Are taken care of from the time you arrive to you leave.
