Took my eleven year old to the ER on February 7. We got there before 12:21 AM and did not see a doctor until 2:30 AM (the pediatric ER doctor goes home at 10:30 PM so don't expect a specialist if you have a child). She had been complaining of stomach pains on and off all day and I was beginning to worry that she might have appendicitis or the flu. Before I get into more detail, I want to say the nurses who took care of my child were kind, professional and courteous. When we finally saw a doctor, he asked me for the date of her last period. I told him that she was eleven and had not even started yet. After a cursory examination, he "diagnosed" my child with period pain. When I protested, he said, "We'll know in two weeks." They took blood and put my child in a bed. We stayed there until about 5:30 AM when we were told we could go. When the nurse took my child's temperature one last time, she had a fever and then proceeded to throw up. There was no return visit from the doctor. No flu swab (this was during the height of flu season). No revision to his diagnosis. Later that day, I took my child to the pediatrician who diagnosed her with a virus or the flu (she tested negative at that time but others in the house fell ill that same week and tested positive for flu). The pediatrician scoffed at the ER doctor's "diagnosis". I'm disgusted that the ER doctor billed us $1700 for his "services". I wish I could bill that much for being wrong. My child has still has not started a period.

Bad experience. I came in after slipping 6 steps down stairs bruised and banged up pretty bad. I was expressing the pain I was in the Doctor came in the room and told me not to express my pain. He told me to hold the pain noise down. How can you hold the nice if your body is doing it. Anyway going to see my back specialist next week let them know at Piedmont Otto in Macon. Was done wrong and thought they were laughing at me like it was a joke. I can deal with pain but please don't deny me my rights to a good medical recovery.

North Side Coliseum was not a good hospital at all! The doctor not have good bedside manner. The doctors won't believe you if you tell him that you are in pain... I will not recommend this hospital to anybody please be careful in the hospital. The staff is rude. This hospital do not care about the patients rights and do not put the patient first.

The Coliseum northside is the worst hospital to go to treat sickle cell. My child had pneumonia, strep throat ,a fever and was in a Sickle Cell crisis. The doctor change her medicine to Percocets 5mg every 4 hours when that's not even what she takes at home. The doctor told the nurse that she did not look like she was in pain. I want someone to tell me what pain look like sickle cell is not visible disease. Nurse practitioner came in here yelling at my child for no reason. Parents you been warned do not take your child to the north side Coliseum for sickle cell crisis

Very satisfied with everything here, food service is great with good quality, nursing staff is great, super friendly, helpfull and approachable. Only complaint is that if you press the help botton and say its not an emergency but can some one turn down the temp in the room , which had accidently been turned to 80 well no one will come even if you press the button 3 times over 35 minutes but when the nurse comes in for periodic check came in she was so sorry and turned it right down. All that aside, this is the best hospital in macon or milledgeville. Only place i will go from now on.
