I hate to have to right this review after receiving good care a at Davies community hospital. Unfortunately the billing department is outdated and nonnegotiable. After racking up a 5,600. Bill not including the Dr. and other services that bill separately. I was able to make payment arrangements with all the services except the hospital itself. They refuse to take anything under 500. A month. I offered them. A payment of hundreds a month and a promise to increase this payment as the smaller medical bills were payed off. They refused, if you can’t give them what they want they turn you into collections. I’ve never had a hospital so difficult to deal with in paying my debt before. I think it’s sad they would rather take a loss and turn me into collections instead of being responsible. How does this services them or the community they serve.

After reading the reviews on Google I had to share a experience my husband and I had with DCH, a few years ago, he went into the ER with chest pains, short of breath, just felt bad, he is a person he is not going to hospital unless he is SICK! Anyway, got him to ER the Dr on call (won't mention names) done tests, but I noticed the EKG said abnormal rhythm! Bloodwork was ok except the cardiac tests was "alittle high" nothing to worry about he said.. was told he might have "PULLED A CHEST MUSCLE HE IS A BIG GUY" to go home put ice on it, and to keep his appointment with his heart Dr on Monday... I came home called the heart Dr Leonard at Jasper, was told to take him to Jasper NOW, come to find out he was having /had a heart attack the widow maker vein /artery was blocked 90% so now a stent, thank goodness I called, Dr Leonard said he would NOT have made it til Monday. Sad, when our local hospital is that far off on a diagnosis..

Several of my family members have had surgery and procedures with excellent results each time. It's wonderful to be taken care of by so many friends and family close to home.

Have listened to my mom moan and almost scream in pain for HOURS. She has had little to no attention! She's elderly and freezing so I asked for more blankets after waiting for an hour I had to go ask the 2nd time. I had to leave my mom's room because I'm so upset listening to her moan in pain. Doesn't help to hear the nurses laughing. What really infuriates me is the fact that my mom worked in the lab her entire adult life at THIS VERY HOSPITAL and this is the care she receives. UNACCEPTABLE DAVIESS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL!!!!

My fiancé was taken, by ambulance, to the ER. His heart was in a state of AFIB and it kept pausing or stopping. They didn't even have him stablized before they sent him to Evansville. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful that they sent him somewhere that knew how to take care of him. I am just thankful that his heart restarted every time it stopped on the way to Evansville. Then, to make matters worse, when we asked for records and for doctors to fill out paperwork so he could receive short term disability through work, we were told that they didn't do that there and we would have to go to some of his other doctors to have them fill out the paperwork, even though his heart only stopped at Washington and on the ambulance ride to Evansville. No one at this hospital was helpful in anyway. It was very stressful at a time when we were already stressed out.
