We found Daviess Community Hospital to be a caring, relaxing hospital for the birth of our son. We would recommend the hospital's maternity services, as well as Dr. Atienza, to anyone.

TERRIBLE PLACE GAVE BIRTH HERE AND IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. ONLY ONE NURSE WAS DECENT ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH MY CHILD WITH CARE OTHER THEN THAT IS BARBARIC. I. GAVE BIRTH AND WAS ASKED DO I WANT TO LEAVE THE SAME DAY, THE DOCTOR WAS EXTREMELY RUDE HE BASICALLY IMPLIED I DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH WITHOUT ANY ENCOUNTER WITH ME, GAVE ZERO CARE TO MY DAUGHTER ETC. I COULD GO ON BUT LONG STORY SHORT FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GIVE BIRTH UNLESS YOUR DESPERATE!

Best hospital I ever been to, Dr Nixon and staff were very caring and informative!! A+ in my book
Edit: we found ourselves here again and Elizabeth, the RN from the emergency room, is the absolute best! She is so caring and thoughtful . Thank you!

This is the worst hospital ever. undereducated when it comes to breastfeeding. The breastfeeding counselor gave my child a bottle of formula while I was trying to breastfeed. I have breastfed several of my children and I know from experience that those first few days are the most important part of breastfeeding and I feel that she took that experience and that bonding time away from us. The staff just took over I have never felt so violated as a human and a mother before. I feel they took my rights from both. A nurse told my husband it was unsafe for me to breastfeed against my physician which said it was fine. I wish now I would have sued. It a been several yrs but i still feel angry about it when I think of how I was treated as a mom who chose to breastfeed

I was with a friend last week and we had a slight emergency so brought her here and from the time we walked into the door to the time she was released the staff was friendly, faster than bigger city hospitals and everything went smooth as it should. Keep up the great work.
