There was a lady crying in pain in the waiting area for 45 minutes the first time she has returned in the same condition again waiting . The lady was so upset she walked out and left to later return . She said that she accidentally cursed one of them out and they placed her out in the room and paid her no mind. Everyone is already having issues in the room and this poor girl was ignored the entire time. Substandard to say the least. Go else where. No empathy here . Forgive me if I didn't see s on something or didn't know something here. I also have had bad experience with one of the children here also the phlebotomist ran through middle step daughters arm and proceeded to try to find a vein while the needle pierced through her skin already . I came her again because of emergency scare and convienance sake only to once again realise the potential danger I possibly could be exposed to . Will not do business here again .
Currently still sitting in the E.R. waiting room. It has been close to 4 hours. To top it all off the person that is supposed to be seen is my 2 month old daughter. I understand triage and priority, but this is ridiculous. A 4 hour wait time for an E.R. that isnt even that busy is insane. By far the worst hospital I've ever been to.
I hate to be like this, I do, but this all needs said.
I want to start by saying, I don't go to the ER, and my husband doesn't go to the ER, unless we feel like something is actually wrong. Currently my husband has no insurance. They see he's been here a few times and treat us both like a joke.
I can name one good experience out of the ER. The fact that they can somewhat give IV fluids from a bag without being rude, because I was dehydrated during my pregnancy.
When I was two, I had a break of C1-3 in my neck. My parents took me to the ER here. They didn't see the break, and it wasn't caught until 2 weeks later at Isbell, where I had to be transferred to Birmingham for emergency surgery. You'd think something would change in 18 years but evidently not.
Today, we've been here since about 5:45, and it's 9:00. My husband has been having back pain and numbness in his right leg, and we have been here a ridiculous amount of time. It doesn't take this long to read an X-Ray.
Mind you, upon arrival, there was a woman in the waiting room gasping for breath. They didn't take her back until she was unconscious, and even then, the people in the waiting room had to beg the woman at the desk to call a damn nurse.
That's just from TODAY. We have a list a mile long on why you shouldn't take your family to DeKalb Regional Slaughter House.
I was recently a patient in the radiology department for a MRI with arthrogram. Dr. Mill's was very compassionate and did a fabulous job with the joint injection. Kathy, Alisha, and Josh went above and beyond to make my procedure a great experience! so glad we have such a great place in our town.
I got lucky!& found this Hospital in Fort Payne.
& they ARE the BEST! **E.R. was packed & a lot of folks that NEEDED Help & care
They Patched me up & got me a Surgeon to rebuild what I shattered. & they were Super Nice, to me. *even when I was NOT
Thanks, Again! FPMH! Keep up the GOoD works! 🤠
