feedback about Duke University Hospital
Best hospital in the state of North Carolina period! I've had loved ones that's had surgeries here and every one of them went beautifully with no problems whatsoever. You will find the best doctors and nurse's in the country and definitely in the state of North Carolina at this hospital. All the nurse's and doctors here make your stay the best possible stay of any hospital. I always go here for any medical issue and i definitely recommend that anybody else come here as well for any medical reason.
If I could give this place a negative number I would because the customer service and workers sucks. If you have came here and received great service than consider yourself lucky. I would not wish this service that my elderly uncle and I received on anyone. Go somewhere else if you can.
So first off I would like to say that, the staff is great here especially on the 5th floor. I’ve spent quit some time here now and everything has been great and the staff are awesome. But this damn food is the absolutely worse. I think they need better meals and choices taste wise. I think it’s bad enough that people come here on very long stays ,the least that could be done is to serve them some food that’s tasteful. The portions are very small and it’s not much to choose from.
Duke hospital is far less than I expected. My father went in for extreme chest and head pain. After finding he was okay to be treated no one fed him for almost 48 hours even after being reminded several times by my step mother. I have found more competant staff and communicators at cell phone and fast food chains.
ER is terrible. Went in by ambulance sit in front for 7hours before being called back. Neck face swollen hurting in chest pain from complex regional pain syndrome after seeing doctor said I was going through menopause. Now its 6 months with Duke doctors I have parathyroid disorder. That's this week will see when tranfersed to the 6th doctor. Durham regional no better same symptoms sent me home told me ER was only for strokes and heart attacks. Went in because I could hardly breath. Second ER trip kidney stones dying in pain I left in pain had to sweat and fight it for days on my on. This is coming from parathyroid disease. I've seen Duke doctors for years and told them of the symptoms always blown over. Today I feel I'm dying slowly no one at duke grabbing the horns and saying Hey this girl is sick. I'm helpless.
