I want to give a better review because the staff is so attentive. However, there is an overall lack of communication that's frustrating. I couldn't tell you what my last scan results were. Overall, there was little effort to keep me up to date on any test results. Also, I can't tell you why the slews of docs, who were here every day by 7:30, are nonexistent on a Saturday. It's noon. I got word two hours ago I was being discharged, but one doctor on the weekend and he's in the OR and can't get to the discharge orders? My time is important, too. Einstein, you can do better.

Ended up at Einstein after my daughter was born in the car. Between the doctors and nurses in the ER and maternity ward everyone was very informative, caring, and I couldn't have asked for better care. Dr Wright is probably the best doctor I have encountered so far and I can't even describe how happy I am with his care. Nurses were all very helpful during our stay. Definitely a great hospital!

You need to be an advocate for yourself or a loved one that may visit the ER here. After a family member came to the ER for what we were told was a UTI and specifically told not a kidney infection, our family physician found out two days later that the attending doctors never did a culture that would have confirmed definitively that that my loved one did or did not have a kidney infection. So of course because they did not do a particular culture the medication prescribed had to be changed after two days and a recurring fever. The ER doctors also were surprised to learn that another medicine prescribed for a symptom could possibly reduce the BP of someone who already runs low. This loved one has a family physician who is an Einstein physician so any doctor affiliated, including ER physicians have access to the records. They would have seen what was in the record had they looked. Be sure you are asking all the right questions because you will not be told everything and depending who is attending not diagnosed correctly. Thank God for our fabulous family physician. A misdiagnosis by an ER physician is dangerous -- beware.

I’ve been to the ER several times . The wait may be long, but I understand urgent patients need to be seen first . The hospital is clean, and the rooms are very nice . The staff is great and the doctors were fantastic. The cardiac unit and the infectious disease doctors couldn’t be better . I will continue to rave about Einstein as they saved my husbands life . Thank You !

They were so attentive and compassionate. I went in last night feeling hopeless because of very irritating bugbites and crippling anxiety. Granted, the wait took longer than anticipated but I stayed very patient. I was thankful for the care that they gave me, because I’m having a really rough time right now. I wished they could have done more for the bug bites, but they helped me put my mind at ease and it felt like they truly cared. Thank you all so much.
