Harold Petty

I was in the emergency room last November and had an operation in December: staff was polite and courteous and respectful. A very good experience. My only complaint is that my surgeon from Blue Ridge Orthopedic was rude to me when he came to see me the next morning however, he is not an employee of the Hospital.

I was born here and i turned out completely fine my mother said the staff was supportive gave her an epidural and dilivered me safely without any complications i will forever thank this hospital for helping my mother give birth to me thank you so much for giving me life in 1998

I've been going to this hospital since 1979 and have never had a negative experience. Was there last week 6/2019 for three different apptmts...I was there early and they took me early because someone canceled, the staff was very kind and helpful. They even walked me from one apptmt to the next. If I had anything to say that would be critical, it would be the length of stays in the ER waiting for test results to come back...but I also understand that I don't know what is behind the time lag. I went thru cancer some years ago using them, my husband fell, broke his neck and had a TBI. They got him medivac'd to UVA immediately. I have no complaints.

If you have a business model that says that before you answer a phone, you are not going to do anything for or with anyone that calls you, then why do you answer the phone? This was wildly unresponsive... here is how it works at this place:"Hello, I'm trying to contact a chaplain, do you have chaplains there?""Yes, we call them when we need them.""Okay, well, I need one, can I talk to one?""Well... I don't have any of their numbers here... but I'm sure you know a chaplain...""Actually, I do know several chaplains, but none that live near your hospital.""..." (breathing)"..." (more breathing)"Well, okay, if you can't help me with that, can you transfer me to the ICU or give me their number?""Well, are you a family member?""No, I'm just a close friend.""Well they are too busy up there, I can't transfer you if you aren't a family member.""Okay, well, okay then. Um. Well, thanks for all of your help.""Have a nice day!"
