Urgent care clinic is not very fast or caring. Sat here for over 4 hours with a lot of shoulder pain that made it hard to breathe. Saw vets with colds come in and get seen with in 15 minutes. Over this entire time, pain got worse and developed a massive headache. No one could explain why the wait was so long. Their fast track clinic was not seeing anyone when I showed up. Then when I asked how much longer it was going to be, the said that fast track was closed and I would be seen in order. They counted up the people and said I was 7th. On two people in the waiting room had been there before me. So instead of putting me in line based on time I got there, I pretty much got put on the bottom of the list. I should have went to the ER at Cape Fear. I would have been seen faster.

I experienced the ophthalmology clinic on a regular basis in person. Dr. White is wonderful, the nurses and support staff are so very helpful! However, the pharmacy (aside from the one tech that FINALLY helped), the operators and the travel pay departments were less than helpful or professional.

I thought Womack Hospital was bad but the Urgent Care here is the bottom of the barrel.Nobody was in the waiting room except one person who was already taken care of when I got there.I waited maybe 20-30 minutes before being seen and I told them about my big toe on my right foot being painful and discolored.Put in a bay and forgotten about. The RN said that somebody would come in and look at at.After sitting there for over an hour and a half with hardly anyone in the other bays,I requested to leave.I got the comment that others were there for 4 or 5 hours, well I didn't see them in the waiting room or the bays.I got looked at then, but was told it was something very minor.I'm not a doctor but I know better. Hoke Med sounds real good right now because these people in Ramsey Urgent Care need to find another line of work.Inept and unprofessional.

I was always taught don't bite the hand that feeds you but this VA is deplorable. Some of the staff not all in Urgent Care question you in a line of questioning not based on CPRS system and then they try to backtrack and hide their underhanded Technics by trying to cover for each other as if you as the veteran do not no right from wrong in painting you in a negative impact. I wouldn't recommend any vets coming to the Ramsey Street VA without a family member of some other support to ensure you get the proper treatment and services you may end up on the mental health floor when you have been on life support for 4 days, just had brain injury and suffering servere headaches. I receive services from the south end of Florida all the way up to Duke and never have I ever been treated in such a manner is this Ramsey Street VA an investigation need to be launched!!!
