feedback about Forbes Hospital
Went to the ER yesterday for my husband. The staff was disorganized and rude. It felt like us being there was an inconvenience for them. They gave my husband medication (the same kind he was already taking). It did not help. The discharged us. Today we went to West Penn ER, where a doctor saw my husband and actually treated his symptoms. Forbes doctor had prescribed medication my husband was already taking, West Penn determined he was allergic to the medication. If we hadn’t gone to West Penn my husband could have had a sever allergic reaction thanks to the Forbes doctors. I will be contacting the hospital administrator to report the doctor my husband saw.
You come to the ER to be seen. I have sitting in the room with my daughter since 930 pm and its now 1017pm. I went to ask the nurses whom were carrying on when we will be seen her response was when the doctor can get to you. Do you mean to tell me they only have 1 ER doctor.. Glad my daughter does not have a life threatening issue... Nurses very rude. Called the head nurse and now we finally got taken care of. But still here waiting on answers
Good care, convenient location, valet parking. I've had a couple of tests and procedures done here. I've always found the employees to helpful, polite and willing to go out of their way to be of assistance. One tip: Valet parking is complimentary if you have a handicap plate.
I was discharged from Forbes Regional Hospital. I want to tell you the staff here is exemplary. Everyone from the cleaning person to the doctor are so efficient, caring, and friendly. They made my stay so much more pleasant even though I was worried about my diagnosis. The nurses were attentive and the tech people, who gave the scans and X-rays, were attentive also. The emergency room crew was awesome too. They took me in right away and gave me a complete work up and didn’t make me wait too long. I can’t say enough nice things about their care. The doctors and nurses and nurse’s aides explain what they were going to do in language you can understand.
These people are awesome! The hospital is nice too.
I do not have well relatives. Every time one of them have to go to the ER I wish they wouldn't come here. If you have a broken bone, fine. If it's anything not obvious like chest palpitations or some other medical mystery be prepared to wait hours and then have multiple nurses tell you different things or not show up at all. Blood work lost, orders interpreded incorrectly, & a huge wait time on the call button in the room. The nurses station constantly looks like a water cooler chat hang out session.
